I know this is a nubby question, but even in freaking GH2 this part gave me a hard time. It's really just the long part with the same b-y-r-g over and over and over. I'll hit it for the first 7 or 8 repititions and then I lose the rhythm or I don't pull off right or something and I can never get it back. Are there any tricks you guys have for losing your place in a solo like this?

I try to not listen to the song but to listen to the frets that I am playing.
Maybe that will help you as well?

try strumming to the rhythm (like a metronome) so you don't get off

I agree for the most part with Misha here; if you don't listen to it, it's easier.

For the most part, you just can't zone out. It's a long stretch of the same, so you just have to remind yourself "this is hard" at some point. Sounds stupid, but that's how I'm most successful with this section.
