I am a expert Guitar/Bass player, who just got the game for myself, but have been playing it for weeks. Haven't had a chance to fully finish solo tour, but everything should be 5 starred soon, seeing as I can 5 star everything in guitar hero 3, beat every song on expert in gh2, etc.
