Slow 5-lane songs: Bandmate/Pinball/Synchrony or Jackpot/Flame/Super X
Extremely long 5-lane songs (over 40x multiplier): Jackpot/Blast/Super X or Jackpot/Pinball/Super X
Dense 4-lane songs: Bandmate/Pinball/Synchrony
Average density 4-lane songs: Bandmate/Flame/Super X or Bandmate/Pinball/Synchrony
Slow 4-lane songs: Bandmate/Flame/Super X
Extremely long 4-lane songs (over 40x multiplier): Jackpot/Blast/Super X, Bandmate/Pinball/Super X, or Jackpot/Pinball/Super X
By Your Command: Bottle Rocket/Pinball/Synchrony
3-lane songs, regardless of length or note density: Bandmate/Flame/Super X
2-lane songs: Jackpot/Flame/Super X (Bandmate/Pinball/Synchrony may be an interesting thing to try here)
1-lane songs: Jackpot/Flame/Super X or ragequit and declare the song broken until the Rock Central servers glitch again and randomly return the fast acceleration pinball like they did that one time in the middle of tournaments

May as well make a post. I had a couple goes each at Flight of the Bumblebee (Rimsky-Korsakov) and More Than Words with this set up. I am not the greatest pinballer [I've only ever used it for the achievement and a couple of runs while the flame notes were nerfed] but I was still only able to get barely a fraction of the scores you'd otherwise get with jack/flame. In FotB case, it ended up being over 1/10th of the highest score on the XBL leaderboards and I managed to keep pinball and bandmate close to always active.
Jack/flame seems to be definitely the best set up for 2-lane songs; unless there are some really short and note scarce 2 lane songs out there. Say, one note close to the start which you could just restart until you got pinball on and the rest is blank/close to blank. I don't know of any [or if there are any] to test these out on though. |

I made a lot of progress in RBN today and all of my top 10 scores seem to be safe for the forseeable future. I introduced a new ranking system in my accomplishment thread, so I've restructured my list of noteworthy #1 scores.

I've pretty much given up on Ghost of Perdition. I don't want to have to use pinball for 10 damn minutes. Naw, I'm gonna start working on the Periphery songs, Bleed, Blood and Thunder, etc.

Thanks for the info, guys. I've been playing a bit the last few days, attempting a "comeback" per se. I'm finding that I've still got my groove with pinball and am picking up some top-10s that way, but I really suck at four lane band-flame, so as of now at least I'm not going to be able to compete on a big chunk of my songs. I plan to keep playing over the next couple weeks until my second job kicks in. Maybe I'll stick with it and maybe I won't, we shall see.

I finally got 'round to making a Facebook around for RBW (Don't really use it otherwise) and so I can look at my overall scores easily. And am very tempted to start making Blitz videos also, since I got a new camera. External audio, fuck yeah. Since all that I may as well start posting here too.
