Now, I searched this error quite a bit, but each time it came up with no useful search results.

Everytime I try to build the .RBA, it gives me this error and only this error.

ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (EVENTS): Cannot parse event 0xb0 at [1:1:000]

Now, I went into my EVENTS section, and the only thing at 1:1:000 is the EVENTS Text Event, nothing else. I've tried deleting and reinserting it to no avail. Could anyone assist me in this?

Thank you.

This is usually some other MIDI event messing things up. Press ALT+3 in REAPER's MIDI editor to view the event list - you'll probably see a pitchwheel CC or something like that. Magma doesn't like those.

Nope, the only things in there are Text Events EVENTS, [music_start], [crowd_insane], end, and [music_end], and the only things at 1:1:000 are EVENTS and [music_start].

PM with the files sent.

EDIT2: Removed the vocals because they were giving me so much trouble, but now, I have THIS problem.

INTERNAL ERROR: MIDI Compiler: Tick: 0. Got a text event, but had no current track to put it into! str = PART GUITAR, type = 1
INTERNAL ERROR: MIDI Compiler: Tick: 0. Got a text event, but had no current track to put it into! str = EVENTS, type = 1
INTERNAL ERROR: MIDI Compiler: Tick: 0. Got a text event, but had no current track to put it into! str = VENUE, type = 1

Nyx, I think it's imperative we get a Reaper + Magma project out as a base. I shared one of mine a few weeks ago but only the Reaper project and it would be nice if it was kosher, something with no copyright issues. Do you have something?

Wacky Magma... it was complaining about your PART VOCALS, but the offender was actually a CC in the VENUE track at 1.1.00. I found that by muting the VENUE track in REAPER and then doing a MIDI export.

You also have a bunch of Meta-events in your PART VOCALS that need to be removed.

The EVENTS track has end instead of [end].

With that out of the way, the rest of the errors seem pretty straightforward:

Code:
MIDI Compiler: Starting...
ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (PART DRUMS): 3 simultaneous drum pad hits at [64:1:360]; maximum is 2 pads plus kick
ERROR: MIDI Compiler: d:/rbn/garden/oaf/finished conversion pokemon-consolidated.mid (PART DRUMS): Double note-on 64, [100:3:120]

ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (PART VOCALS): Vocal note at [1:1:000] is only 0.00 seconds into the song; vocal notes cannot appear before 2.45 seconds into the song

Now... These would take a little while to fix, but they would be easy... If those notes existed.

I haven't checked through all of them, but half of the numbers on the "Misaligned Notes", "Missing Lyrics" and "Missing Notes" errors don't even exist in my vocal track. How can there be an error with something that doesn't exist? Not to mention I just spent the past hour and a half aligning all the lyrics to the notes.

What is Magma doing?

Check your notes. You have at least one (I suspect more than one) that's overlapping with another (meaning that a note is long enough to extend over the beginning of the following note). When that happens, Magma goes crazy and throws errors (missing lyric at 1.1.00 is the tell tale error). Check the notes Magma is giving you and one of those does probably exist and it's where the damage is.

Well, finding overlappings didn't work, so I reimported the Midi and copied and pasted the track to the PART VOCALS track... and everything is now fixed...

Although I still do get only TWO errors.

Code:
ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (PART VOCALS): Error adding lyric event 'EVENTS' at [1:1:000]
ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (PART VOCALS): Vocal note at [1:1:000] is only 0.00 seconds into the song; vocal notes cannot appear before 2.45 seconds into the song

I looked for errors and overlappings, but I didn't see any.

I really appreciate you guys helping me. It means a lot ^-^

Sometimes the quantization of tracks of unknown origin is dubious too. A quick quantize of events and notes might help - or might make it a lot worse.

Well since you've updated the MIDI - please send me a link to the new one.

You're so close! You just need to change the track name at 1.1.00 in PART GUITAR, EVENTS, and VENUE from Text Event to Track Name. Mine compiled then.
