Hi I just got a mustang for my xbox (about time) and while I play bass in real life, I do not play guitar. When I go for pro bass songs, I don't know how to use a pick, so i use my fingers, like I would a bass. Is this bad for the strings? Also, could someone link me to a page on how to use a pick? Thanks

I never use a pick for pro bass, and I've never had any problems with the strings themselves. That said, I'm probably more gentle on the strings than I could ever be on a real bass.
