FINALLY

I wonder if this is all we're getting though? As I opened the press release and saw the word "Rocket Man" fleetingly before I found the songs, I got all excited. That would be a great party song.

Two songs I've never heard of, and one song I already have (and never heard of until Blitz).

Should of at least had an RB3 version of Crocodile Rock.

Ah, releasing a song that was in a separate game as part of a pack. We've finally reached that stage. Y'know, after Green Day 03. And the RB2 songs in Blitz. But now it's serious.

Still, this is good Wii owners. I'd have liked Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, but whatever. Solid pack only brought down by a song I own.

Wait, just noticed that this is the first week without a Pro guitar upgrade. An error, maybe?

I'm happy to see Elton John DLC but please fuck off with the repeats! It's good that Wii players can now play I'm Still Standing but I already bought RB Blitz on Xbox back in fucking AUGUST and I'm sure loads of others bought it when RBB was reduced to 600 MSP during Black Friday.

Weird that we're getting a song we just got in Blitz. That just seems wrong to me. But I am delighted at more Elton John, so I'll get the other two.

This is the second week without a pro upgrade. The previous instance was an accident where the song being upgraded got pulled. I wonder if there was a licensing snafu this week or if they skipped the upgrade and re-released a chart on purpose?

Considering it's an Elton John 3-pack, this looks surprisingly dull. Maybe they thought these songs would be more fun to play than some of his bigger hits? Ah well, good at least for Wii users that couldn't get I'm Still Standing from Blitz.

Elton John and repeats, it's almost impossible for me to care any less about a week of DLC. And packing two new songs with an old one is super lame.

On the one hand: hey, Elton John songs! That's awesome! More of those, please!

On the other hand: man, of all the party-friendly tracks we could've gotten - "Rocket Man" and "Tiny Dancer", or even "Your Song" / "Daniel" / "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road" / "Don't Go Breakin' My Heart" - we get these offerings? DUDE. I mean, I'm not displeased, but nor am I screaming these choices from rooftops somewhere.

Bleh. I never really cared for Elton John, and while Benny and the Jets will always be my least favorite song of his, I don't like these much either.

I figured if we ever got Elton John, it would be this month. So, we did. And it looks like they gave us what they could, based on the repeat (too bad about Crocodile Rock not getting a RB3 version though).
