Huh... I seem to have sparked a full discussion from a lazy, one-off Nickelback joke. Carry on.

Hahaha, wow. I'd completely forgotten about that clip. Well done.
/Massive thread derailment off
I'm anxious to see if anything interesting comes out of either song. They SOUND like snoozers instrumentally, but I'd love to be surprised. _________________

Well, Sex and Candy has appeared on GH so you can watch this to get at least a vague idea of chart quality. It looks like Guitar could be kind of fun in a chordy sort of way, and the others look halfway decent as far as slow, easy charts go. Nothing mind-blowingly spectacular, but not absolutely mind-numbing either.
Here's a full-band video of the GH version. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uq8qd3XTmGw |

Huh, I knew I recognised the name from somewhere. Turns out it being previous GH DLC was why.
Also, something's recently came to mind. Drive was a one song week because there were problems with two artists at the last minute. This is a two song week. Coincidence?
I want to say yes, but thinking back to last week's 6-song bonanza, you have to wonder if any of those songs were the delayed two. _________________

I know there was a rumour that these two songs were supposed to appear with the Kenny Loggins tracks, but I don't know how substantial those claims are.
Seeing as the six-song week was specifically marketed as "a song from six different decades, marking the 5 year anniversary of Rock Band," I'd assume that last week was planned out well in advance, and didn't have any tracks added or removed last-minute.
Of course, this is all just speculation. |

Oh, the anniversary was last week? Oh yeah, I remember seeing it on twitter now. Yeah, that makes sense. _________________

It'd be possible but we'll probably never get direct confirmation because label relations etc.
I think the most we'll ever get out of Harmonix is "Did those songs end up coming out in 2012 / 2013" and just a "yes" or "no" answer |

Call Me Maybe is fun on vocals, of course, and it's a nice surprise on Keys too! Guitar is ok when it plays. Bass is extremely awful.
Yeah I took the plunge and bought it. _________________
