Figures after a week with 5/6 great songs we'd get only two songs which are both terrible. Oh well, can't win 'em all. _________________

2 songs? Have we ever had a week with less (not including no dlc at all).
Though...I do actually like Gangnam style haha. So I'd probably end up buying it. _________________

Well, if anything good came out of this it's that I can add another song to my setlist of songs in Weird Al's polka medleys. _________________

Still Alive, Subdivisions, and Drive were all the sole songs for a week. Fortunately, Harmonix has never skipped DLC for a week, but I wouldn't be too shocked if it does happen.
I do like Sex and Candy, but I'm not interested in Carly Rae Jepson, even though I like most music. _________________

Woo, Sex and Candy is a great song, though a bit too mellow for RB. Still, glad to see it.
Heard people reference Call Me Maybe constantly, but never heard it.

Well, Dance Central 3 is getting it, so that seems likely.

Blitz being half off is pretty awesome. Anyone who doesn't already have it now only needs to like FOUR SONGS on the setlist to justify purchasing it. Or even just a passing interest in the game itself, which is a lot of fun.
This week seems pretty obvious to me in retrospect. Last week was for us, this week is for the mainstream. _________________

It's just a pity it's only an XBLA sale. _________________

This is the only version that you need to see.
Yeah, complete letdown of a week. I loved Sex and Candy back in the day, but it's going to be boring as all get-out, while Call Me Maybe will be great for the four sorority girls that aren't sick of it yet. _________________

True. Makes me wonder if HMX planned the sale or Microsoft did. Still, a boon for XBOX players, at least. _________________

Hah, it felt like a Friday so I checked for DLC for fun. Turns out I was right!
Sex and Candy isn't bad, and holy shit, HALF OFF Rock Band Blitz? That is a deal, anyone who passes that up is nutso. I hope that's not a sign that sales are bad for Blitz, since it's been the best renewal in interest for Rock Band I've had in a while.
Also, I'm indifferent to Call Me Maybe. I hear that song referenced everywhere but I never actually listened to it until last month (and I had to go find it on youtube... I never encountered it in the wild... you live a pleasantly sheltered life without radio and cable television). It's not THAT bad, I'm actually more amused with how much everyone is mad that it's in Rock Band. My ScoreHero Schadenfreude is showing again...
Since Gangnam Style is in Dance Central 3 they definitely have the rights to it. Doubt we'd see in Rock Band though (aren't there limitations on songs with certain languages, or is Korean allowed?), but if it came along it would be the party song to end all party songs. I would shamelessly buy it. _________________

Carly Rae is a prelude to J Biebs imo. Can't wait for that announcement. |

I think it's more that you didn't have it drilled into your head constantly. At first I wasn't a fan, but then it grew on me. But then again it just went into the fact that I was well and truly sick of the song. Give it a year or two and I may enjoy it once again, maybe even enough to consider purchasing it, but right now I'm just not a fan of the song, and I'm sure I'm not alone in that. Gangnam Style could easily go that way but thankfully I'm hearing it a lot less and it's a bit more charming anyway. But then, this is the opinion of someone who after 6 years of detesting the song has finally found some joy in Welcome to the Black Parade. So take this as you will.
Still a bit of a fan of images revolving around the "Hey, I just met you" etc. lines, though. _________________
