Depends what you want to call Smash Mouth. Why Can't We Be Friends is certainly similar to ska.
Speaking of ska and covers, this is much more appealing than the original to me. The original is just some overrated new wave pop rock song. At least this version is gonna be interesting at all. _________________

Yeah, it must be from a pro perspective. On regular guitar it usually just amounts to and its variations at a quick speed for about three minutes, and this sounds no different. If it was Dexy's Midnight Runners then I would have bought it as soon as it comes out. As it stands I'll pass on this song, and this week. |
I think those kinds of charts are pretty kickass |

I guess. I still hope this means we've increased our chances at Reel Big Fish and, please for the love of god, The Aquabats. _________________

Power Gig got Reel Big Fish for crying out loud. I refuse to believe HMX can't get them. _________________

Ah, fair enough. I still haven't got over the pain I had back from GHII with alt-strumming. Improved so very much, but the fast stuff like that is something I just can't enjoy. At least now I can GS Kung Fu Fighting and the others like that from L:RB (Naive is still the worst song to play on the disc, IMO). If you ask me, the perfect guitar song (that I own/can remember) is The Way it Shows. _________________

Disappointed about the cover on two counts; 1) it's not the version I know, 2) the cover has no piano part, so they're charting horns to keys on a song that would have charted keys to keys had it been the original. _________________

This, but honestly even being a child of the '80s, Come On Eileen is one of my least liked amongst the "popular" songs from the decade, so my level of outrage is minimal.
The other two songs are great additions (yeah, even Nickelb...er... 3DG). _________________

Yay, the 1 3DG song I like. I'd have to hear the other two. Come On Eileen might be interesting.
Edit: yeah, I know the Sheryl Crow one. Won't get that one. I'll probably ignore Come On Eileen too. |

Three Days' Grace is ass, and I don't care for Sheryl Crow. I don't like the original version of Come On Eileen, but maybe the cover might be more fun.
Nonetheless, looks like a pass. _________________

Might be up there for one of the worst weeks ever in my opinion. I may get the Sheryl Crow song in the future if I have the extra 160 but the others are a major pass. _________________

All three songs are good, however might buy Save Ferris only. I think the cover is better than the original. _________________

One of the worst weeks ever but you're considering buying 1/3 of the release? (just playin')
I struggle with whether or not to buy Animal I've Become. I like the song, but I might never play it. Maybe I'll pick it up for Blitz. As for the other two, I'll wait to see how the charts look. _________________
