|
|
Figured this was worth making a topic for.
Is this part broken? I've tried every possible way to hit the ending cymbal swell (multiple different tempos, cymbals) and all I can do is 100% overhit it. I've FC'ed it ONCE, and that was extremely lucky because I did the same method from overhitting it, and I've practiced this section for awhile now. Can someone (isaac, yami, puppetmaster) please help me? _________________

I haven't the slightest clue how Kody did it, but I (and I'm pretty sure Isaac, too) used 1 cymbal for the yellow only. The game just loves it. I have yet to hit it without a cymbal. _________________

For these types of rolls, I normally focus strictly on the yellow lane and completely ignore the timing on the green. In Wicker Man's case, that doesn't work all that well.
Instead, I focus on starting the green as early as I possibly can. For the actual roll, go fast, but not anything that pushes 16.5 NPS or so (you will miss if you go too fast). An estimate of 15 NPS should be enough to combo the beginning of the yellow lane, and feel free to loosen the speed as you progress through the roll.
It should also be noted that stopping a few notes early -- rather than the traditional 1 or 2 notes -- will make it more likely for you to retain the combo afterward. _________________
