Oh, we have a new scavenger hunt.
Quote: | The Jack White Collection
Jack White is a prolific artist. In the last decade he's established himself as a true force in the modern music scene. This goal assembles every song in the Rock Band catalog that Jack White has played on.
PLAY SONGS FROM: Rock Band 3 or Rock Band Blitz
TO COMPLETE: Earn 4 stars on all songs.
MAX GROUP SIZE: 10
TIME LIMIT: 7 days |
That's uh...quite a lot of songs, I think. 2 White Stripes Packs, The Hardest Button to Button (RB3), a Dead Weather Pack and a Raconteurs pack. Maybe more. And yet, still a whole lot less than Dave Grohl.
Edit: Oh, COME ON. There is a Grohl Goal? Damn. I wonder how many of those I have. _________________

The concept of flight and flying is a common theme in music. Find seven songs whose titles are concerned with this wonder of aerodynamics.
Play songs from: Rock Band 3 or Rock Band Blitz
Minimum Difficulty: Medium
To Complete: Guess and play the mystery songs!
Max Group Size: 5
Time Limit: 7 days |

Seven songs, eh? From memory and checking DLC on DLC Quickplay (Not looking at RBN stuff)
"Fly Like an Eagle" - Steve Miller Band (RB3)
"Learn to Fly" - Foo Fighters (RB1)
"Fly By Night" - Rush (DLC)
"Flight of Icarus" - Iron Maiden (DLC)
"Flying High Again" - Ozzy Osbourne (DLC)
---
"Fly on the Wall" - Miley Cyrus
"The Crow and the Butterfly" - Shinedown
"Wings of a Butterfly" - H.I.M.
"Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)" - The Offspring
Uh...that's it that I can see. The latter ones are maybes, but I don't see much else. They have "Fly" in the name, but aren't really about flying.
I own the top 4, so I can play Learn to Fly, Fly By Night and Flight of Icarus in both games and then play Fly Like an Eagle on RB3 to complete the goal, but I wonder what else there is. Are they including RBN in these? _________________

The seven I'm going to try:
Aces High - Iron Maiden
Airplanes - BoB & Hayley Williams
Flight of Icarus - Iron Maiden
Fly by Night - Rush
Flying High Again - Ozzy Osbourne
Learn to Fly - Foo Fighters
Little Wing - Jimi Hendrix
Edit: Depends how literal they are being about "flight" and "flying" in the title, ofc. If Aces High flops, I'll probably skip Little Wing. _________________

Nice to see we got a fresh group of goals, if they keep this up every week it will give me incentive to keep playing. _________________

Interesting to see that the goals appeared in 3 separate batches. I was mildly disappointed when I saw the Punk, Prog, Boston and Disturbed yesterday afternoon-ish, then was bothered by the Jack White collection appearing (since I'm not going to have enough songs for that at all) before I passed out last night, and now I awake to even more goals!
I'd jokingly said to Kubuh a few days ago that they should have a Dave Grohl goal, and was disappointed that I saw a Jack White one instead. Imagine my surprise this morning haha. _________________

I've been recommended Airplanes based on what I own by Blitz since day 1. Surprised I never thought of it.
I mean, I detest the song, so I'm not going to buy it, but still. We'll see as we go on. _________________

There's only 53 songs there. Is he not also on a Nine Inch Nails song?
EDIT: Googled it. It was The Collector he drummed on. Thought so.
Anyway, it says "Play 54 Distinct Songs" on RBW, so maybe the RBB/RB3 trick might not work as it did with the mystery song goals. Then again, some other scavenger goals said "Guess the mystery songs". I'll try it, no harm in doing so. Can't complete it anyway, I only have 3 songs from The Colour and the Shape. Got everything else, though. _________________

One of them is Fly on the Wall by Miley Cyrus. I assume most people are now not going to complete this goal. _________________
