Meredith Brooks' Bitch made a big impact on the 90s musical landscape. Hailing from the Pacific Northwest, Brooks was originally a vocalist/guitarist in the bands The Graces and Sapphire before kickstarting her solo career. Her perseverance paid off and in 1997 Meredith Brooks released her debut album Blurring the Edges. Bitch, the first single from the album, skyrocketed up the charts and hit #1 on the Billboard Mainstream Top 40. The song ultimately went gold and propelled Blurring the Edges to global success with over 3 million albums sold. The song has maintained popularity in part thanks to uses in films and TV. Guitarists will enjoy a nice challenge with the mid-song solo and frequent chord strumming. Drums are a steady breakbeat throughout the track. The song really shines on vocals you know the lyrics so its time to belt them out!
