I love this band and I’m really happy to see them in Rock Band, but damn, those are BAD choices.

I don't know about Daughtry because I haven't paid attention to them lately, but this shouldn't be a surprise with the modern bands. We always get an older hit, a new single, and some other crappy song choice (except with H.I.M. when they chose the best song off of Screamworks). I love Miley Cyrus, but damn those choices were lame, other than Start All Over. It is very disappointing, because we'll likely never get the more fun, deeper cuts from these artists.

OK, in my opinion, these are really bad choices for Daughtry songs. I was seriously hoping to see something like What I Want.

One was in reference to a span of DLC, the other is in reference to this week's DLC. One is personal "it bores me" while the other is an observation "This looks boring." It's like asking what's the difference between "This fucking sucks" and "I don't like this." One is pig-headed and obnoxious while the other is an actual statement. Sure, maybe it's semantics, but how you express your opinion is as valuable as the opinion itself.
So, if I understand, personal comments like "I don't like this are okay," but ones that state opinion as fact like "this fucking sucks" are not. So then, let's look at the two comments again:

"This looks boring"
"This looks boring to me"
"This DLC is boring the shit out of me"

The only statement on that list that you've articulated a reason to have a problem with is the first one. The latter two are both clearly personal statements, the only real difference being the swearing in the second. Clearly you otherwise have no problems with swearing, so I don't actually see what the problem is.

Edit: Also, not buying. Still waiting on that B52s track.

I've been lurking on this thread, and boy, I actually feel for Mystakin. It seems to me that he has been deemed "troll" just because he took an unpopular stance, even if it's not just for the sake of it.

Looks like a flashback of what started motivating me into walking away from SH almost exactly 2 years ago. People can no more respond to others' posts without hostilizing, attacking their characters, badmouthing their mental conditions, etc. Don't succumb to whatever the majority says, and you'll be in danger of being bashed or worse, punished.

As for the DLC, I never heard of this band, so I'll give them a listen later and see what I can get in the future. Simple. Why complicate?

<3 this.

That is indeed what happened. Your mistake is in not applying it to both sides. And my mistake is in not reining this in already.

Any further posts in this topic should be exclusively about Daughtry DLC. Thx.

Oh man. Eight whole pages of butthurt and flaming over the week's DLC. Reminds me of the World Tour/GH5 days.

Wait, how did an 8 page discussion emerge about... Daughtry?

I didn't think highly of him when he was on American Idol (back when I actually watched a few episodes).

I didn't think much of him when he formed a band named after... himself.

I still don't think much of his music. It's not terrible, and (naturally) he's a competent singer, but aside from that there's nothing really to recommend his music. He's undeniably popular in adult contemporary circles, so the pack will probably sell well, but eh... I'll get it like I do all DLC, but I'd be lying if I were to say it "excites" me in any way.

(am I doing this right?)

Does anyone else have a burning hatred for Daughtry besides me?

Why even ask this question... it's obvious that there are other people who feel the same way and your opinion is in no way unique
