I really do hope the Maiden track is Wrathchild. I had that in my original RBB wishlist. _________________

Honestly, I'm partial to Gallow's cover of it,but to each their own.
I'm putting my money on Prowler, though, for RB:B. _________________

Fingers crossed that there is another IM 6-pack of newer stuff. That way it really was another 12-pack......kinda.
Still, I'm stoked for this pack since this and Slayer are the only DLC I've downloaded this year so far. Even though I'm more of a prog-geek lately. _________________

This pack is awesome. Nuff said on that subject.
However, at this point MOAR Iron Maiden will likely become just like MOAR MUSE as both are awesome.
Granted, nothing from Somewhere In Time has me bummed as Alexander The Great or Caught Somewhere In Time would've been great to play.
As is, I'm glad that SSoASS gets more representation as that is my favorite IM album (yes, evne over NoTB) and since it probably won't be album DLC, anything from it will do. Also, RIME OF THE ANCIENT MOTHERFUCKING MARINER!!!!!! (aka "what not to do when a bird shits on you", to borrow a quote from Bruce himself) _________________

Well, I didn't say it in my previous post, but I'd rather have this version of Rime of the ancient mariner (Live After Death)... I listened to this one way more than the studio version. _________________

Given that the idea of the pack, as stated in the release blurb, was (lengthy) songs from their early work, Dance of Death would be wildly out of place, being recorded in the past ten years. Anything from an album after Seventh Son would be a stretch, but Dance is a full five albums after that.
My only complaint is that we got Icarus instead of To Tame A Land. Mostly because Dune's an awesome book and the length better fits the pack concept.
Getting it as soon as I can. Thanks to the generosity of someone, that'll be quite early indeed. |
Ah, I should have read the OP in more detail. My error. |

That is true. For me, there are so many great IM songs I keep thinking about what the next pack will look like despite the fact that we may never get a "next" pack. I will still hold onto the slim possibility that because this was an exclusive 80's pack so maybe they will give us the Fear of the Dark album (my favorite by them) and really blow me out of the water.
Plus, I really have to agree with you all in hoping the RBB song is Wrathchild. I like a hell of a lot of songs more but its always nice to have an easier song by these metal bands kind of like A Tout le Monde from Megadeth. _________________

I know I posted in here I already, but I still can't get over how awesome this pack is. I literally could not ask for a better pack from any artist. The fact that we're getting another song in Blitz is icing on the cake. Really hoping it's Wrathchild just so we have all three Maiden songs from GH.
The only potential six-packs that would have a chance of topping this would be maybe:
Avenged Sevenfold Epics Pack (will never happen):
Second Heartbeat X
Sidewinder
M.I.A.
A Little Piece of Heaven X
Save Me
The Wicked End
or
Between the Buried and Me Pack 01 (since most of their songs are already epic):
White Walls
Ants of the Sky
Fossil Genera - A Feed to Cloud Mountain
Swim to the Moon
Specular Reflection
Augment of Rebirth
If these packs never come out (and I'm pretty damn sure they won't), then will end up as my favorite RB DLC ever (and even if they did, this still could hold #1). Although A7X is the #2 artist on the RB Dashboard FB app so you never know (but I wouldn't expect more than ALPOH or Second Heartbeat out of that pack). _________________

The Iron Maiden releases have all been pretty amazing. They've worked their way up to #2 in the "artists I'd like to see more big releases from" category I have in my brain, behind only Queen. |
