Wow, amazing pack here, and we've got a seventh Maiden song coming with Rock Band Blitz? 2012 just got a whole lot more awesome. _________________

Almost half of that is just Rime and Seventh Son. Although Flight of Icarus is the only song in the pack that's under 6 minutes, and that's still an average of almost 8 minutes per song. I think it's still behind the Metallica pack, the second Roadrunner pack, and possibly the yes pack in terms of average song length, but I'm too lazy to compute how the four stack up right now and there could be other packs I'm forgetting.
Also, is Rime the 5th longest song now (behind 2112, the Who Super Bowl S-Mashup, the Abbey Road Medley, and Do You Feel Like We Do)? Or am I forgetting something else. (Aside from Veil of Illumination, which could arguably count).
I actually generally prefer shorter songs and probably won't play Rime or Seventh Son too often, but I'll probably be playing the other four like crazy.
On a barely related note, Google Music has Flight of Icarus listed as "Flight of Learus". |

Disappointed that there's no Dance of Death, but this pack is a great call. |

Ironically, the last and only other Iron Maiden pack came out on the Tuesday school ended for me back in 8th grade. 3 years later, the Tuesday that my junior year ends, this comes out
Anyway, YES DIANNO MAIDEN AND RIME OF THE ANCIENT MARINER!! _________________

Given that the idea of the pack, as stated in the release blurb, was (lengthy) songs from their early work, Dance of Death would be wildly out of place, being recorded in the past ten years. Anything from an album after Seventh Son would be a stretch, but Dance is a full five albums after that.
My only complaint is that we got Icarus instead of To Tame A Land. Mostly because Dune's an awesome book and the length better fits the pack concept.
Getting it as soon as I can. Thanks to the generosity of someone, that'll be quite early indeed. _________________

Nothing for me, unless RBN has something that catches my interest. |

I could go on all day nitpicking about song choice with so many awesome Maiden songs to choose from - why is there no Moonchild or Prowler or Drifter, why aren't there any live versions - but eh. This is an amazing pack with a lot of songs I've been waiting to play for years. I'm picking it up day one regardless. _________________
