Practice. That song does suck balls.

The only part I couldn't get through is the bridge where he starts the tuneless "I had another set of words to use..."

Remember your vocalist can bomb out twice (three times if you're lucky). Plan ahead to have some OD to resurrect him, do your best with the vocals, but when you inevitably bomb out, coast for a while until the crowd is really close to ejecting you, then resurrect him.

I found it a lot easier to listen to the song on their website (where I can freely jump to any spot) than to try to use the stupid RB practice mode.

(You shouldn't have tried the Endless Setlist if you can't get through all the songs )

Play it on easy and medium to build your familiarity.

And last of all: Apparently, if you use characters that haven't unlocked the bonus tour, then you get an easier Endless Setlist, without the bonus songs included.

I had the exact problem, but not with the ES, and on medium at the time. And...ummm...even on medium it was rediculously hard. I just saved myself alot.

It's just one of those things where you have to play it over and over to figure it out. I actually downloaded the song and listened to it at home, in the car, etc. for a few days. I don't mind the song for what it is, but I can understand if others don't like it.

Since the song is made of very small vocal pieces within a phrase, it can be tough to latch on to the needed pitch. Verses one and two are the same in pitch until you hit the "I had another verse instead of what I'm writing here..."
The best advice I can give is to sing quietly and try to hum until you find it. It feels like it's only going up a note each phrase until you get to, "and we CALL(lower) it a MASTERPIECE(lower again)..."

If you're playing Vocals and something else, you can easily fail that section, wait until it's over and then save the singer going into the "I've been waiting..." part.

I highly this piece of advice for anybody struggling with vocals. Until you get the pitch of the lines down, it is simply not important to sing the actual words. Humming makes your life much easier if you are just trying to pass....especially if you are 55 songs into the endless setlist!

I always hum a song that I have never heard before on expert vocals (DLC) the first couple times until I get a sense of the main vocal line. Then I start learning the words.

Most definitely hum or oo or something until you get the vocal pattern. I'm now trying to squeeze points and FC/GS this song on expert vocals, and over the course of 2 days it's become one of my favorite. I do best on this song when I sing in my actual voice. There are a few lines where I still have to jump up an octave, but it all works out.

This appears to be an urban legend of sorts. I spent most of the day on Sunday taking two "virgin" characters up to the Hall of Fame, and it was still 58 songs

God dammit this is the stupidest song I've ever heard. The dude has NO vocal ability whatsoever and they are making us sing it. That middle part is DEADLY. Im so pissed.

I had the same reaction to it at first. The thing that makes the post-chorus section fairly beatable(with practice, took me about 20 tries at least to FC the whole song) is that he's only going up or down one note for the majority of it. Once you find that rhythm, it's just a matter of following the pitch up and down. I found too that with enough time I could take a breath after the "...of what I'm singing here... *breath*, and that would be enough to get me through until the "and we *breath* CALL it a masterpiece..."

But yeah, the first few times I played that song, I hated it. Now I like the song and the middle section since it's a very unique Vocal challenge. Also, the fact that it has no talky parts makes it a good song in my eyes.

It's not hard once you remember all its little nuances. It's tricky only because there's no real repetition -- the singer's inflection is changing constantly. Familiarizing yourself with the song is crucial, just like with most others on vocals.

Yeah, when I first played this the other day I was completely astounded at how bad it is.

I'm not bad at sightreading Expert Vocals (even gold starred Day Late, Dollar Short having never heard it before), and this is the only song I almost failed.
