I've heard a lot of Mastodon fans say they don't like Curl of the Burl but I love the song (and the entire album). Having played a custom of it, drums are VERY fun. I would have liked a different song from the album if only allowed to choose 1, but this will do =D Awesome. |

Random week is random. Oh well, back to singing the Weird Al lyrics to I Want a New Drug for me. _________________

Santa Monica is a rare example of a song I really like but don't particularly want to play in Rock Band. I'll take anything from Mastodon though. _________________

Mastodon got my hopes up for Sleeping Giant or anything else from Blood Mountain. So to find out that it's not is a tad disappointing. Not listened to the hunter, though, and I own everything else Mastodon on RB, so I'll probably like it and get it.
Still, Blood Mountain is one of my favourite metal albums of all time, so hopefully some more soon.
As for the other two, well, I'd never heard Santa Monica until Band Hero, I don't remember too much about it, so I won't buy it. And The Anthem...It reminds me of a time gone by, but doesn't excite me in the same way that Sum 41 did. So pass. _________________

Never thought there'd be a week where I'm most interested in a Mastadon song. First time for everything.
15-year-old me would spend $2 on The Anthem in a heartbeat... 23-year-old me is having second thoughts. Maybe the Elite Beat Agents nostalgia will push me over the edge. _________________

Son of a bitch. I was wondering why that song was familiar to me.

to be fair this is probably the best mastodon song off the album for rock band.
the aalbum as a whole is really tame compared to other mastodon albums, and not really that good though, so eh.
WHY CAN'T WE GET ANY CRACK THE SKYE SONGS? :< _________________

I'll probably buy Santa Monica. That shit was my jam back in the day. I was excited when I saw Mastodon but hadn't heard that song, after listening I'm not excited anymore _________________
