Has anyone tried learning pro keys on a 25 note midi pedalboard? I am thinking this would be a great way to learn the organ.

You mean like Taurus pedals?

I think it would be super hard. I'd be impressed if someone could pull off some songs even with both feet. Of course any chords would be impossible.

Only intervals (chords with two notes, technically not a chord at all).

Let me know how it works out for you.

well, I think it would be interesting for bass charts since these are mainly used for that purpose. On songs like Subdivisions by Rush, most of the song is played on moog taurus pedals except the parts where there is no keys and Geddy Lee plays bass).

Songs where bass isn’t played on a real bass would fit in too, the Doors comes to my mind, since it was manzarek who played the bass parts in the Doors song.

But playing only five notes charts on this kind of device would not be so nice I guess, though it could be a start.

Maybe making a list of these bass songs would be helpful, because I don’t think you could play songs like In a Big Country (at least not in expert ^^).

just my 2 cents

You can actually play up to 4 notes on your feet (heels and toes), so I think it would be possible to beat on hard. Chords that stretch an octave may not be possible though.
