Surprised there's also no Shout with TfF. I'll snag Head over Heals eventually though (Still waiting for Huey).

Not familiar with the other songs. Will have to give them a listen, but likely a pass for now.

Man, "Head Over Heels" has been in my "I would love to see this song in Rock Band, but don't even bitch about it publicly anywhere, as the odds of it manifesting seem so remote" bucket for ages at this point. But here it is! That's all kinds of awesome. (I think I was first reminded of the awesomeness of the song by it playing in the background of Donnie Darko's pan-through-the-school montage. I wonder how many other people were similarly triggered by that scene....)

Glad to the see Sum 41 tracks pop up as well. I know they are not necessarily conventionally popular, but I have always had a soft spot for pop-punk sorts of schtick, and I'm super-glad to have the opportunity to snap these songs up. Helluva week here, Harmonix!

I remember having a hell of a time struggling on medium Fat Lip in GH1 so I'm so getting this for the nostalgia!

I love Tears for Fears but like Hall and Oates (a band I also LOVE) I think they're great to listen to but playwise will be boring.

I like to pretend they're saving it for a whole album release.

These are fine, but I'm thinking Underclass Hero and The Hell Song will show up eventually

As for the DLC... not particularly exciting.

I guess you're not a fan of puns...or good music.

Anyway, glad to see at least some more Tears for Fears and Sum 41.

I kinda like the Sum 41 songs. I'm not a fan of TFF.

What a colossal screw-up on the chorus of Fat Lip. ("cas-u-al-ty").

And an obviously copy-pasted one too. How could they miss that? :p

Oh wow, that's kind of funny. Casualty is stretched out one syllable too far and Society is compressed by one syllable. Weird.

Anyways, I had a lot of fun with this week on guitar, despite SRFC'ing all three songs. Head over Heels is really easy but also inexplicably fun. I guess it just has a decent amount of movement and variety, so it remains entertaining. Still Waiting has a lot of fun riffs in it, and isn't long enough to overstay its welcome. Fat Lip is Fat Lip, duh.

They "missed" it because casualty is, in fact, a four syllable word split up in exactly that manner (Reference).

So - cie -ty is also definitely a screw up in terms of dictionary pronunciation; however, it's charted purely on the way the pitch shift in the vocal stem moves. There's neither a pitch shift nor a break from syllable 2 to 3, so they need to be combined. Thus we have so (1) ci (2) e (3) ty (4) as so (1) cie (2 and 3) ty (4).

Yes, I understand that, Manfred. I certainly didn't mean "lol it's a three syllable word, why did they chart it as four". I just meant they didn't chart it properly with the omitted syllable (edit: and, as a result, botched "society"). It's still not an excuse for it being missed in playtest, especially as a copy-paste error that occurs every time the phrase occurs (including when the pitch in which we sing it changes). It happens *five times*.

It's not like they strictly chart based on the "actual" spelling or syllable count in any event (there are countless examples of omitted syllables or glottal stops being correctly charted).

Good catch on "society" too, btw. I was thinking about that when I left for class and I was about to go look at a video to see if maybe that's what it was (wrong lyric placement to the right tubes) since I had a chance to hook my laptop back up. So the "ty" is really the "of", and the "of" is the first syllable of "society", which means you won't break combo if you sing it (because the tubes are right), but if you're trying to read the lyrics you'll really get confused haha.

What annoys me about Fat Lip is that the album name (All Killer, No Filler) is different from the album name for In Too Deep (All Killer No Filler). Stupid comma.

Other than that the two songs are amazing to play, especially on Pro Guitar.

I've yet to figure out why they don't check these things.
