Plus I think there's some people here who would consider something like Beethoven's 5th to be inferior music just because it wouldn't translate well to a 5-button guitar chart. _________________

Another song to cross out from the "Songs we have on the first 3 GHs but not RB" list! I personally never owned GH1, but I will probably try and get the Edgar Winter songs eventually. _________________

3 songs from GH. I'm starting to think Harmonix is trying to "steal" the GH fans. Not that I care though. I will definitely be picking up the 3 GH songs. |

Honestly at this point is there even GH fans to steal?
I bought all the games, and I was a member of the forums, but I haven't played in a while due to lack of new content, and the forums are a ghost town for the most part. |

I can't even login to the GH forums to let them know there's another game being announced at E3 haha.
On Topic: Amazing DLC week, two great koRn picks and finally Frankenstein full band.
Only nitpick is koRn should have a pro upgrade, _________________

FRANKENSTEIN! FUCK YEAH!
Freak on a Leash is also good, as I enjoyed listening to it on GHWT (the bassline is pretty solid, too).
Don't think I got around to listening to Free Ride (or if I did, I wasn't focusing on how it sounded), but I bet it's good. _________________

This is a very good week. I know I'm getting everything. Frankenstein and Free Ride (which was an "Oh, that song" for me [not big on classic rock, sue me]) are just awesome. Freak and Falling I'm getting just to remind me of my days in high school. Nostalgia wins the day with those two songs. _________________

No.
Get out.
Not even going to remotely attempt to be polite here.
Just get out. |
Follow The Leader(1998) and Issues(1999) both hit #1 in America and Australia (FtL hit #1 in Canada and New Zealand as well). That's back to back albums reaching the top of the charts; FtL also went 5x platinum and Issues went 3x(in the US). While his statement is certainly doused in hyperbole, Korn was a HUGE band in the late 90s. You may not like it, but you need to accept it (and not be such a prick about it). |
I really hate blatantly hyperbolic statements that reveal a bias that might as well invalidate a person's opinion.
I actually like Korn, and I do like the fact that they were so big in the 90's. |

I don't usually laugh at posts
But when I do...
It's because of that statement
Pretty indifferent to this announcement. Will probably get Frankenstein if anything. _________________

As we've been over in this thread, the statement may have been a bit hyperbolic, but popularity is objective and you cannot deny that Korn was at one point an incredibly popular band. |

Since this is a forum with members from around the world, is pretty hard to state things like that.
Not that Brazil matters much in the big scheme of global music business (or does it?), but Korn was never big in here.
So one less country for the "biggest band on earth" statement.
About Frankenstein, for some strange reason I would love to see the covers HMX made for GH1 on Rock Band.
Maybe that's because I mainly play guitar, but I really miss some covers there (Ziggy Stardust, Killer Queen, etc) _________________

the guitar track certainly isn't as good as GH1, but damn those keys are absurd. drums are insane too, such a great song. still dreaming of the GH1 version in a newer Guitar Hero game. that would be the best _________________

While I agree that the guitar chart isn't as good as GH1, it should be noted that there's also guitar parts that weren't included in the GH1 version (due to, obviously, the keys/sax/whatever being authored instead of them). It's not all spectacular, but it's not like everything that was keys in GH1 is now just empty space. |
