I've got 240 MSP left, and I want to know what quirky 80 point/ $1 songs I should be looking at. I have most of the staples (Trippolette, a couple Blue Fusion, Mystakin, Chaotrope songs) but there's just so many hidden gems out there, I don't know where to start.

I can't recommend Pressure Cooker enough. Extremely fun on every instrument. Definitely pick it up if you don't already have it.

also of note: Positive Force, and the Super Meat Boy songs.

"The Cold Taste of Nickel Plated Steel" by All Hallow's Evil. It's my most played RBN song....awesome on guitar and vocals.

I'm a staple? Well now I'm super honored (might want to keep an eye on the weekly RBN releases if you like my music, btw)

As for god 80pt songs, I'd recommend anything by Richard Campbell(currently "England Rock Anthems" and "Christmas Rock Medley"), "Skid Rock" by A Wilhelm Scream, and "Echo" by Dance for the Dying(fun little pop tune, nothing difficult... just a dang good song). Also keep in mind that most if not all Ultra Saturday, Rose of Jericho, and Single White Infidel tracks are 80msp. All three at fantastic bands with a heavy stake in RBN. You already know about Bluefusion and Freen in Green, so I don't have to promote them quite as much.

I'd recommend Creatures ov Deception, but an RB3 version is coming soon so yeah.

With no idea what songs you have and judging by the difficulty of the songs you listed, may I suggest Alpha Strike if you haven't got it yet?

Other good tracks are the Van Friscia stuff, Foundation, Ramp Truck (RB3 version)...there's just too much out there that's good for a dollar.

Also, I second everything Mystakin said. Those are good songs too.

I cannot recommend Crooked Strings enough. No pro drums but it's fantastic on every other instrument (including standard drums).

The Battle Of Lil' Slugger. Possibly the best song from my favourite game released in the last 10 years...

any one dollar song by Freen in Green or Bluefusion. I do not regret buying any of their songs.

I would like to mention Paul Henry Smith and the Fauxharmonic Orchestra. I love playing each of these songs. And IIRC most of the stuff from Fairwood studios are only $1 each. I highly recommend the Morgawr songs. You definitely get your money's worth from those two tracks, one being like 6 and a half minutes and the other being over 9 minutes.

And seeing as this is an older song, you might have it. But if you don't have Descend Into the Eternal Pits of Possession yet, you can't go wrong with a 10 minute song for a dollar.

If you're into electronica/industrial/etc, then I also recommend Full Source. 3 great songs, not really hard to play, but damn are they awesome on the ears. And all for a dollar each.

I also echo the sentiments everyone has already posted. Can't go wrong with those choices.

And one last thing I would say. There are tons of rock songs that no one has ever heard of that are only a buck, so I would say download the demo or just listen to it in the music store. That's what I did for a bunch of those songs, if it sounded cool I'd get it And most of those songs are usually tiers 3-4 on guitar/drums, so for the most part they're pretty fun, especially the tier 4 songs.

The best song I ever bought on RBN is any one of:

Anamanaguchi - 'Airbrushed'
Stagehands - 'Now Or Never'
Rainbowdragoneyes - 'Creatures Ov Deception'
any of the New Pornographers songs

Take that for what you will. I assume you're looking for difficulty, in which case Rainbowdragoneyes is the hardest. Musically speaking, my favourite is Stagehands. By far my favourite to play, even beating any Harmonix DLC that I can think of, is Anamanaguchi.

Wait, DitEPoP was 80 points!? Golly I hardly remember getting it, but I've not regretted it.

The only one I can think of that hasn't been said is Spira Mirabilis by Komodo. It is very odd, and very intense on drums. Definitely worth looking at.

Second The Battle of Lil' Slugger. Also, I haven't actually played it (it's not on PS3) but Creatures ov Deception looks mad fun on guitar (video link). (warning though...lots of doublets, so if you hate those you might not find it fun)

Christmas Rock Medley is also more than worth it for a dollar.

Worth noting: While Spira Mirabilis technically has pro drums charted, I'm pretty sure they forgot a disco flip in the second half of the song, so the pro drums chart is effectively broken.

If you're going for good value, I Made a Game With Zombies in it (I'm not going to bother trying to get the actual spelling of the title) is another 10 minute song for a dollar (I find the drums pretty fun, too, haven't tried it on other instruments).

I'll second most of the things that have been mentioned so far, people have been giving really good recommendations. Some other 80 point songs that I've found really fun (noting that I primarily play pro drums, so I'm mostly recommending these based on those charts, though many of them are pretty fun on other things too):

-All 3 songs by Blanks. (It's a shame these songs haven't gotten more notice, they're stupidly fun on drums)
-Better Sleep by Fatter Than Albert
-Modern Mathematics by Terrorhorse
-All songs by Rishloo (I haven't played Downhill yet, but I'll definitely recommend the other three that are out)
-Lindisfarne by Morgwar
-Simple Man by Highlord
-Magician by Lightwires
-Desacration Day by Halcyon Way (haven't tried their other songs yet, they could be good too)
-Battle of Egos Part 1 by Winter's Crescent
-All songs by Fake Shark, Real Zombie (no pro drums)
-How We'd Look on Paper and What's Your Favorite Dinosaur? by the Main Drag (no pro drums)
