Actually most people on this forum (that I know at least, myself being one of them) consider deathcore to be the scourge of the earth.

With that being said I absolutely detest metalcore and nu-metal as well, so Slipknot goes out the window for me too. But hey they usually have fun drum parts, Sulfur is still one of my favorite simple fast songs to drum. So we'll just wait and see until after it gets released.

+1 from me. I can't stand listening to deathcore, but the drum charts are so damn fun..

Deathcore is the dominant metal on RBN. To say that people wouldn't like Slipknot because it isn't "RBN metal" would imply they won't like it because it's not deathcore.

I fail to see what I made so complicated about this.

Actually, since the majority of RBN metal is Amberian Dawn or Chaotrope, RBN metal is more like power metal. Or whatever it is that Chaotrope is. >__>

Anyway deathcore is a very specific thing and there's only a few of those bands on the RBN. The only two I can think of offhand are Suicide Silence and Job For A Cowboy. (Four songs and one song, respectively.) You're likely just using "deathcore" as a blanket term to refer to all screaming-centric metal. (It doesn't matter to me whether that's because you don't know better or it serves your purposes better.) Behemoth is not deathcore. Emperor is not deathcore. SikTh is not deathcore. Devin Townsend is not deathcore. Morgawr is not deathcore. Meshuggah is not deathcore. The Dillinger Escape Plan is not deathcore.

Just admit you're wrong and let us go back to discussing this DLC instead of your flawed view of what "RBN metal" is.

Also, the Job for a Cowboy song on RBN (and regular DLC for that matter) is straight up death metal. They dropped the -core stuff after their first EP. #shinfo

I sent a few to a friend so they could grab some songs I thought they'd like (they play regularly at my parties, so I figured it'd help with momentum to play those RBN songs).

I sent a few more to someone else as my entry fee to my Fantasy Football League.

They came at an odd time, as I had just picked up $100 worth of PSN money less than a month ago (I had 20% off) and snagged a bunch of songs I had been on the fence about.

Death Metal + Breakdowns = Deathcore last I checked, and nearly every death metal song I've heard in RBN has the latter (breakdowns).

Though, its nice to know other kinds of metal are invading now.

ITT: People arguing about subgenres of metal when the majority of the public just lumps all of it into one category called "noise".

For the record, this is noise. I would say that most people have at least one metal song they enjoy, even if it's just heavy metal, NWOBHM or metalcore type stuff. You know, things like British Steel Judas Priest, Maiden, lighter Metallica, that sort of thing.

(I would enjoy seeing someone get actual noise in RB simply to see how on Earth you'd chart it. I think PON DE FIOR is the closest we have right now.)

Screaming For Vengeance should count too. British Steel is cool, though.

If only... I wish 90s Metallica was in RB. Too bad I know a DLC pack would probably just be the 80s stuff.

Overall, thumbs up.
On-topic, though, how long are these songs? I know Wait And Bleed is incredibly short, are the others short too?
