I have read where people said Harmonix won't chart a hi hat unless it is hit by a drum stick. This means playing hi hat sounds by just opening and closing it is not something they'll generally chart. |

Typically closed hi hats are charted to yellow and open hi hats are charted to blue. |

@Bront: i agree they wouldnt make anything to crazy
@Isapg09: actually the most direct thing i wanted to know about was if they would chart like putting your foot down to close the hi hat or something as a kick xD but it was more general. and now that you mention that it does make me wonder about that option cause ive seen it and never knew what exactly it was so if you want to explain that go ahead |
In RB3's overshell menus, you have the option to connect a second pedal and have it act as either a hihat pedal or a second kick pedal (you can only choose one). The option has no actual bearing on charts, but is merely for freestyle sections (IE: the beginning of a song or drum fill lanes). |

That makes sense, thank you sir. I'm assuming though double bass connected like that could be used for in-game bass pedal though (otherwise how would you get two bass pedals) _________________

oh yes. What I meant was that just because you connect a second bass pedal, HMX charts won't magically have double kick sections fully authored. |
