From #bannerhero:

<inv4der> Tubthumping tiers: G1/B0/D4/K1/V2
<inv4der> Take On Me tiers: G2/B2/D4/K3/V4

All pro-column stuff is the same tier as their normal counterparts. No idea for any other songs. (I will say right now that Tubthumping bass is one of the easiest bass charts with over 350 notes that uses multiple frets. No orange though. >__>)

I pulled up the video expecting to see some kind of monumental fuck up with the way people are going on about the Take On Me keys chart and...that's it? A few fast arpeggios that didn't get charted? I could easily make the argument that trying to switch to that line and then back to the main line would make the chart incomprehensible.

I would also be curious whether the original keyboard part features those arpeggios or whether there is an effect or arpeggiator being used.

TUBTHUMPING! YES!

That song is so awesome. I think A7X is one of the most overrated bands ever, so the rest is probably a pass for me.

Do you have a link to vid of the Pro Keys chart or conversation of people complaining about it? I'm curious to see what people are saying (as well as the chart).

I'm just hype to learn that main riff on pro keys. Already ordered a for real midi keyboard and I'm gonna learn that shit for sure. I'll be quite a hit if I can break out Take On Me every time I'm near a keyboard/piano.

If Welcome to the Family following the Ozzy pack is any indication of a trend, then HMX is back on form when it comes to charting metal guitar solos.

The solos in the new ozzy pack were a lot better (in my opinion) than the first ozzy pack, and the solo in Welcome to the Family is a damn sight better than Beast and the Harlot or Bat Country.

This seems to be a good sign.

Anyways, pretty good week this week. Didn't get the Live songs because while I recognize the songs, I've never really liked them a great deal and they don't look fun enough to be worth it from a playability standpoint. I totally understand why other people would want them. They're pretty memorable 90's alt-rock songs.

A-Ha and Chumbawamba, on the other hand... Those songs are just fantastic. Similar to Live in that they aren't that great to play (on guitar, at least), but they look pretty fun on drums and both look pretty decent on keys (Take on Me is obviously the better of the two, but Tubthumping has keys all the way through and some cool horn lines authored to them as well).

I've heard the song, yet it somehow still surprised me when Unholy Confessions didn't have a guitar solo. Still pretty fun, and great on protar/bass.

I already mentioned Welcome to the Family's solo, but I neglected to mention how much fun that song is outside of the solo (on guitar). It's full of great riffs.
