- Expert Pro Guitar 5* (+5): Me Enamora, I Can See For Miles, 20th Century Boy, I Got You (I Feel Good), King George
Also got like 4.99 stars twice on Viva la Resistance, but can't seem to replicate it at the moment. The picking on that song is fast and really hard to combo. _________________

- Expert Pro Bass 5* (+1): Space Oddity
Probably my best Pro Bass 5* so far. This was much harder than Jerry Was A Race Car Driver in my opinion. _________________

i failed out of Space Oddity like 15 times before i gave up on it

MehPlusRawr: Thanks! I feel the same way about people like you who do so ridiculously well at pro keys.
megallica: Indeed they do. I was actually burning through stuff pretty well until I hit the Nightmare tier, but after a few tries (or some time in practice) the patterns in the Nightmare songs started to make sense. But when you hit the Impossible tier (with the exception of Combat Baby) the difficulty curve becomes incredibly steep. It's going to take a lot of work and repetition to get these last ones, but I'll do my best to finish them off before moving back to guitar or keys in earnest. Even though I finally 5-starred Space Oddity, I wouldn't be surprised if I would still fail out during the outro (I always play with no-fail on). I decided to focus on getting a near-perfect run of the song pre-outro, rather than try to memorize/combo that craziness. _________________

- Expert Pro Bass 5* (+1): Dead End Friends
This was easily the hardest of the Nightmare-tier songs to 5* in my opinion. Glad to finally get it out of the way. Only Impossible-tier songs left for Pro Bass! My guess is BatH will be the next to fall. Getting around 4.50-4.75 stars consistently, so I'm within "just need a good run" distance. _________________

This FG5* is going to fall soon, I can tell. You're progressing at a great rate, and I can't wait to see BatH fall next. _________________

Thanks, I hope so! Here you are:
And a bonus one:
My thoughts on what's left for Pro Bass:
Antibodies: Really hard, but doable. If I can get 4.5 stars with a couple of dumb mistakes, then 5 stars is within reach. I'll probably need to hit 5 stars before the outro, because... well, have you seen the outro?
Caught in a Mosh: This will probably be the next to fall. I'm getting 4.25 stars consistently with a LOT of dumb misses, but they're never in the same spots. I know I can get this, just need to grind it and tune in on the tempo (and its changes) more.
Free Bird: Haven't tried this since I got 3 stars on it for the Impossible-tier-3* goal, so I don't really remember the chart. But doing it on Hard difficulty took a while, and I imagine there are even more variations/flourishes on Expert. Great.
Llama: Just ran through this again, and spent about 15 minutes in practice to slow some sections down to 70%. This is so much harder than every other song. I'm still having trouble processing what the hell is going on. I fear I might stall at 82/83 for a while because of this. If it's any indication, one (1) person has 5-starred it cross-console, and no one else has even 4-starred it, from what I can tell. _________________

I played through Free Bird on Pro Bass, got barely three stars, and decided I didn't feel like spending a bunch of time in practice mode today on it. Instead, I tried it on Pro Guitar, and this happened:
Apparently, Free Bird is harder on Bass than on Guitar. I never would have guessed that. Got 100% on solos 1&2, and just over 75% on solo 3. There are a couple of sections in the solo (remember the off-beat descending quads/sixteenths from GH2?) that are really awkward to play on the Mustang because they're charted near the 3rd fret instead of at (I think) the 15th where they should be. Necessary concessions for using a 17-fret guitar, I guess.
Also, the arpeggio sections of Something Bigger, Something Brighter are really fun to play without a pick. I'd love more songs that utilize fingerpicking. I ended up playing the rest as I would a bass part (index and middle finger upstrums). _________________

Yay, another one done! Keep going, you'll get your bass soon enough, and if you can do that on guitar, there's probably another bunch of songs you can do as well. _________________

awesome job
you seem to be really good at 5*ing songs on Pro Guitar/Bass
you've even 5*ed more songs on the Pro Bass setlist than i can pass
i'm sure if you went back for FCs, you'd get alot of them
btw, do you know what your career score is for Pro Bass?
i'd bet you would have me beat if you entered all of your scores for it on the SH leaderboards _________________

malkieriking: It really depends on the specific techniques necessary for the song. For example, I'm really struggling with songs like Viva la Resistance and (especially) Crazy Train and BatH due to the fast picking. That's probably my greatest weakness on pro guitar. Not so much for pro bass, as I can alternate index/middle fingers pretty well, unless it gets really fast like some parts in TTFAF.
megallica: Current career score for pro bass is 20,751,092. I think I could probably improve on many of the lower-tiered songs, but I wanted to keep moving once I got the 5* to keep making progress toward the goals. Maybe if I actually finish all the goals someday, or just feel like changing up, I'll go back and play some earlier songs. _________________
