Need help squeezing on PS2 RB games

I have some idea of how to squeeze, but i think I'm doing it wrong.
Is it when the fill ends, you group the notes with the green, or after the green, or what?

I need to learn to squeeze.
I can safely assume, I will always have the highest scores without squeezing:(
