WELL THOUGHT AND THOROUGHLY EXPLAINED suggestions welcome.
I was having this discussion with someone earlier about an FSFC on drums and what would be the hardest songs overall to get in the pursuit/ what songs (if FCed) would more/less solidify the FSFC for you.
(This is a ROUGH draft, not sorted in a particular way[this is where you people come in.] just putting songs together merely as an example.
11. Painkiller
Relatively simple overall, last drum solo is a HUGE choke point, as well as a few other "rolls" and endurance overall is key.
10. Bodhisattva
Ending roll, of course. Nothing overly difficult outside of it.
9. Radar Love
Tough outro. Rest of the song is fairly technical.
8. Panic Attack
Bridge is downright annoying, and the "broken" note is tough to get consistent with.
7. Shoulder to the Plow
Bonham triplets can be very frustrating at points, and the speed-ups can be tough to manage.
6. Llama
Endurance in the foot and arm region is most definitely required for this song. It's relatively fast paced and is more than easily chokeable.
5. Run to the Hills (CV)
Disco beat song, requires some endurance and a keen eye for, barely recognizable, tempo changes.
4. Before I Forget
Quads, tempo changes, etc.
3. Beast and the Harlot
Roll lanes are bullshit, drum solo is hard to get consistent with, and the faster rolls throughout are a pain.
2. Visions
Triplet blasts, as well as other odd fills and an extremely chokeable outro.
1. Homecoming
Roll section is difficult. Stamina and endurance are a key part of this song, because a 2 minute roll section where rolls reach over 14 nps and some tempo changes have been known to occur. Some drummers have gone as far to say that this section may/may not be "broken" but no conclusion on the argument has been made.
SUGGEST SONGS PEOPLE.

The top (bottom?) ones should obviously include Run to the Hills (endurance, tempo shifts), Visions (I shouldn't even need to explain), Llama (endurance, tricky patterns), Beast and the Harlot (Drum solo, cymbal swells and post-solo rolls), Painkiller (endurance, drum solos) and Homecoming (the minute long snare roll, long song duration). Since I'm not a FSFC-capable drummer, I can't rank them myself, but I can see Homecoming, BatH and Visions as the top three due to their stints on the unFCed list. (Visions is still a very notable FC, and there's one FC between BatH and Homecoming.)
The easiest on-disc song in the series is without a doubt Ride a White Swan (it has no pedal notes), with We Will Rock You (same simple beat for under 2:30) very close behind. Unless you're counting the two No Parts from GDRB for some reason... _________________

Homecoming
Visions
Beast and the Harlot
Run to the Hills (CV)
Bodhisattva
Panic Attack
Painkiller
Shoulder to the Plow
Caught in a Mosh
Llama
These are the 10 hardest FCs in the series IMO, but I'm not even remotely close to a FSFC. Also I am 100% physically incapable of doing Caught in a Mosh at all so I probably overrated it, idk. I'm not sure about Llama either, but I think its harder than WGFA or Teenage Riot, which would have been my next choices. I'm probably forgetting something. _________________

Top 11 IMO.
11. Bodhissatva (outro roll)
10. Ticket To Ride (fast rolls)
9. Caught In A Mosh (requires speed, lots of tempo changes/fills)
8. Painkiller (outro roll/solo, requires much endurance)
7. Radar Love (long, lots of fills and weird patterns, chokable outro)
6. Panic Attack (broken note, the bridge, long song)
5. Run To The Hills (many tempo changes, requires lots of endurance)
4. Llama (requires LOTS of endurance, weird fills)
3. Visions (Requires enormous amounts of speed, multiple weird fills and a chokable outro)
2. Beast And The Harlot (drum solo, chokable outro, some challenging fills)
1. Homecoming (long song, still hasn't been FC'ed so it deserves to be #1) _________________

this simple reason for homecoming not being fced at this point, is that virtually NOBODY is trying to fc it either because; nobody likes grinding a 9+ minutes song or they don't have the song in general. _________________

homecoming really isn't that hard, its just a bit tiring. I would easily be able to grind it (the song is rather fun before the rolls and they really aren't that far into the song) i just don't have the stamina for it. But i also have only golded blinded by fear once, so i have really bad stamina compared to the top guys here. Even so, with some minimized arm movements i've had a -5 on the rolls, which tells me any of you top drummers could easily do this if you just put your mind to it, and i really think IBite could fc this in a day with how consistent he is with double strokes. _________________

They're definitely crazy hard, but I think it's true that the fact that it's un-FCed isn't enough to make it number 1 on its own, since very few people are grinding it. It may very well be number 1, but HomelessCarl still has a point. |

Fire is the hardest song off of Lego, and LTBR live is the hardest off of AC/DC, might want to include those. _________________

WHY is Homecoming so high? It seems from that like you've never played it from where it is right now, although you obviously have. Oh, and CIAM is on there twice. |

You really need to read the OP again. Whenever you go "WHY IS THIS SONG HERE??!?! I'M SO MAD HURR DURR!!!", I just think "wow, this guy is a derp. I must be doing something right "
When you want to express your opinion USE YOUR BRAIN TO SWAY EVERYONE'S OPINION. Say things like "the rolls go on for 2 minutes and reach more than 14 nps" or "the songs bpm both slows down and speeds up."
My closing argument: "Don't be a retard, think before you speak."
Also thank you for pointing out Caught in a mosh being in the list twice, very helpful. _________________

Another note about Homecoming is that even though there are a lot of people who can play it, there are far fewer people with equipment consistently sensitive enough to not drop a single note in that whole section. |
