Specifically, the double bass fill. I can't hit it at all, anyone have any tips?

Hit your foot twice quickly.... there's really no easy way around it, you just have to play it as it appears....

Timing window abuse is all anyone can tell you. Start early, end late or both. Other than that you just have to hit the pedal really quick.
