Wow, those sound brilliant. Insta buy for me. Every instrument sounds fun and challenging and the vocals sound genuinely good (Somewhere between LaBrie's light singing and Colin Meloy). Gatling has grown, and has become a great sounding prog rock/metal band. _________________

Those are great, especially Absolute.
It's downright haunting at points, sounds like a totally different band from the one who made Nihilanth. _________________

Thanks man! I (and the rest of the band) really appreciate it!

Again, we really appreciate it. Since "Nihilanth" we've added two members, gotten a bit older (we're still pretty young though- 16,) and have a little more experience under our belts, plus we recorded those two tracks in a professional studio which has also helped improve the sound.
If you guys want I can put one or both of those tracks up for download. _________________

I think I'm one of the few who kinda dug the lo-fi recording of Nihilanth, but I still wholeheartedly agree with everyone else here.
You guys have made spectacular progress. I really like your singer. More Alt/indie rock melody than the typical prog-metal "LOOK HOW HIGH THIS GROWN MAN CAN SING" (which I like, but seems to be almost cliche at this point). |

Oh wow, the riffs in these songs are genuinely good and the vocal melodies are great. I can hardly believe how much progression you guys have made as songwriters since Nihilanth. I'll definitely be buying both of these tracks once they hit the store. _________________

Just listened to them both now, and I thought they were really good! I'll definitely be getting them when they show up on the RBN. _________________

It looks really great. You definitely want to look over your pro drum charting (or lack thereof).
A little disappointed at the lack of crazy soloing, but more than made up for by the song just sounding really cool in general. |
