I REALLY recommend Oh Yoko! to anyone who wants a China Cat Sunflower-esque experience on the keys. It is tons of fun. _________________

I little late here, as I hadn't gotten the chance to play these songs until today...
Anyways, guitar is actually pretty decent. There are certainly some "Imagine" type ballads that are pretty dull (Oh My Love, How, and Jealous Guy are all pretty lame guitar charts, but none are long enough to be completely mind-numbing), but most of them are actually a lot of fun. I Don't Wanna Be a Soldier basically plays out like a 6 minute slide guitar solo. Very little tough within it, but rarely ever repeats anything and is full of hammerons and pulloffs.
For anyone expecting a bunch of acousticy chordy strumathons, the only one is Oh Yoko! Gimme Some Truth is pretty strummy and repetitive but has few chords and a good number of mini trills as well as a nice solo (has this song been used in a movie or something? Because I swear I recognize the solo but have never heard the rest of the song). |
