How do I make another band?
Can I change the physical appearance of my character? At the end of creation it tells you you can by going to customise, but I can't see anything in their other than the clothes and stuff.
I got my RB2 code from the website, went into the get more songs->redeem code part of the game. It took my code, but then nothing. Now my code counts as being used, but I don't have the download key (or the option to buy it). In the xmb->account management I see i have an rb2 export service, but I don't know how to use it. Help? Where do I get the $9.99 unlock pack? _________________

Can't, don't bother trying.

No body aspects are adjustable. Make a new character or deal with what's there.

There should be a redownload option somewhere if I remember right, otherwise you may want to ask on the official forums or contact HMX somehow. |
Answers in bold, sorry if I seem a little harsh. _________________

From the main menu, Get More Songs -> Redeem Code -> Previously Redeemed Codes. If the code has been tied to your account, there should be an option saying "Rock Band 2 Export Pack" that you can choose to make your payment and download the songs. |

Which console are you on? There is definitely a previously redeemed codes option on mine, but I'm on the 360 version. Maybe it isn't present on the others? _________________

Sorry, should have said I was on PS3.
I put the code in, and a PSN Store-like window opened up, but was empty. I pushed X (normal confirm button), and it quit out to the main menu. I'm guessing that window should have had the buy option. Annoyingly it looks like the only way to make the buy window appear is to put a code in, but I have already used mine and it won't take it again. _________________

I entered my code a while back, nothing came up. But underneath it should say "Rock Band 2 PREVIOUSLY REDEEMED" or something like that. Maybe try quitting the game and then opening it again. When they decide to be bothered to upload the RB2 export, then you can get somewhere, I guess.
I'm a PAL PS3er, by the way. _________________

Are you sure you didn't get the code for account linking?
You shouldn't get the code from the website, it should be from the back of the RB2 manual |

I believe that's how it works for the 360, but for PS3 you have to take the manual code to the website, which spits back another code you put in. The code it gave me 'worked' - it was accepted and said so, but I didn't get an option to dl anything. I haven't linked my account yet, will do that tonight. _________________

Call or email EA support (http://support.ea.com) and explain to them what happened. Phone call is very, very easy and they'll get you a new RB2 export code within a few minutes. I've also heard that email works too but takes longer. _________________

Email took about 30 minutes on a Friday night, pretty good turnaround for such a large company. _________________

Problem solved! When you select redeem code you get a screen with one option - redeem code. There is no 'previously redeemed codes' option like on the 360. I was just hitting it, which doesn't do anything. However, if you wait for a bit and don't pick anything, an option to purchase the rb2 export pack appears. Thanks for the help guys. _________________

To add to this -- the *good* news is that, unlike prior games in the series, the clothing/instruments/whatever that you unlocked are still available for new characters. So you don't have to grind out another million "dollars" before you can get your stuff back, if all you wanted to do was fix your fat nose. As stated, you still have to create a new character, but your character isn't really tied into anything like it was before. _________________
