Keyboard + Guitar audio squawk

Hi all, my question for all of you is if anyone else has encountered this same problem. My wife is playing keyboard, and I am playing on Guitar for Rock Band 3. On three seperate songs we get this horribly loud audio squawk that lasts like half a second. The song continues fine and audio is still synched, but it is jarring at the very least, and almost caused us to fail out by shaking us up so badly another time. The problem does not seem to exist for other instrument combinations, just with this pairing. Anyone else encountering this bug? Mainly I am trying to see if people think its my disk, an actual ingame error, or random aliens.

This happened to me once when I played Keys using a guitar controller. It was weird as hell... I'm on PS3.

I've had broken staticky audio when playing with keys + guitar before, but have friends who have had this same "laser-like" squeal problem. Seems to be PS3-related at first glance.
