I am great at medium. I 97-99% every song, but when i try to make the transition to hard, the quick bass kicks are my downfall. |

Swing and missed sar-kuh-zim.
I dunno bro. try different pedal locations, heel up/down.
Keeping your foot down between.
I 5* all medium no prob, and hard im 5* first few tiers. Only paranoid kills me so far for shin endurance. i think I need a higher chair like a drum throne and try heel up. |

i was thinking about getting a throne, or sitting on the edge of my chair instead of kinda towards the back. I will try that heel up thing too. |

I intially had trouble transitioning to Hard with the quick bass hits, but once you gain some foot independence and the double kicks, you'll be fine. Just plow through as much as you can is all I can suggest. |

my question relates to this so I'll drop it in here...
I got through Medium with most 4 and 5 stars, now I'm going to hard and I'm struggling through. This is mostly due to foot independence issues.
Anyway I can pass every song on at least the second attempt, but this is usually by cheating the system and omitting a lot of kick drum. I pick up the pattern eventually but usually just continue on to the next song. I noticed on medium a lot of patterns persist throughout, so my question is this: should I keep moving on as long as I can pass or would it behoove me to practice the easier songs until I can get through them solidly? |

I played through medium first, started hard. I said WTF??? Bounced aroun d through medium and hard. The foot independence seems to be working itself out through practice, not 'practice mode' mind you, just playing. I still have issues with parts like the chorus of Reptilia or Wave of Mutilation on Hard. But I've gotten up to Vasoline and am stuck there for now. And the last few songs I played shittily with pieces of old socks taped to the sticks to avoid disturbing the populace at 3AM, and a few Coors Lights in my belly!
So my suggestion is to tough out a couple songs on hard, then go back to medium and try to improve on songs there(I've 5*ed all but that damned Police song). Then go back to hard and see if you've improved any. _________________
