Slurs indicate that the notes are charted under the slide mechanic.
Staccatos don't mean anything and just helped with playback.
If you guys find this particularly helpful I could certainly make more, but it's pretty time-consuming. Let me know. |
This is amazing. Thanks a lot! |

I actually tried transcribing Bohemian Rhapsody earlier today on my own, but it is handwritten... Here's what I've got so far (up to Gtr Solo), I'm considering getting some sheet editor or something. _________________

Uh... you just transcribed a Phish piano/organ voice. If it wasn't time consuming, you'd be a god among men.
I've been playing piano for nearly two decades, and I've started visualizing what comes down as actual chords. Like, instead of yellow/blue/blue I just see and instantly think an A minor chord. It could also be that I've played Keyboard Mania quite a bit, and I've been an active IIDX player for about 7 years.
To other piano players out there, I highly recommend doing the lessons several times, especially the scales and chords. They'll cement seeing something on the track as a certain key signature or chord.
Also, I'd recommend taking note of what key the songs are in, and many a time I've fallen back on my musicianship and guess, and kept my streak going. _________________

The guitar break isn't charted in the actual chart with any sort of normal quantization, so I just put the chords down and put a big vibrato marking over any length that uses the normal pattern. I wrote out the transition parts that break apart from that a bit, but other than that, that should be pretty much spot-on.
Damn that took a while. _________________

TBH, this will be difficult, but I've considered taking on this project to convert these MIDs to sheet music since its really the same effort as any other chart I've released on ChartHero/PathHero...so, on PathHero, when viewing any Pro Keys path, I would have an option to view both the sheet music view and the in-game view...this is definitely a bit out there in the future as I'm going to make the in-game view ones first, then take on the other part _________________

I'm sure there are other programs that can do the same. _________________

I think you misunderstand...the sheet music I'm talking about would be for pathing purposes (which can by read just like regular sheet music)...but everything will need to line up right (pixel-wise) in order for it to work per my intentions, which is why using other software to convert it won't work for this intention _________________

I've been wanting sheet music for Pro Keys since the game came out. When DarylZero put Pro Keys charts online, I took a shot at transcribing them. Here's what I've done so far:

I've been playing RB3 for just over a week now and I'm wondering if I will ever get used to the way keys are charted.
I don't even register the color bands that the keys are falling down from. I just grep the whole thing as "keyboard tetris" and wait until I can trace the falling note with the associated key.
This of course gives me a very small window in which to actually prepare myself to hit the note. |

good god. How long did this take you?
I've found that they're fun to play on real piano (I've printed out a couple), but don't help me much when playing in game. I guess I should play them on piano a few times to learn the chords, then transfer that knowledge over to practice mode in-game. _________________

Dear God at Roundabout's sheet music.
Dear God.
God, in this case, apparently being Rick Wakeman. _________________
