Slaying it as always with the FC's too man. Keep it up. Maybe when RB4 comes out you and I can start one of your infamous and beautiful rivalry threads again ;) |
Well... it's been a few months and I haven't seen you around, so I will assume you didn't get the ol' Rock Band itch after all
Nonetheless, I will be happy to rival you once again should you come back. Thank you, as always, for the kind words.
87 FC's later, this is my first post-Rock Band 4 update! It took a while because other games got in the way, but I am happy to finally be chipping away at the game and accomplishing some goals. Along the way I got two 1st place scores on the main setlist, being Lazaretto and Your Love. Both of which I believe are 1st on Xbox Live as well, which is surprising as I didn't use a path.

Thanks, man. I wish I could have gone to PAX... it sucked missing it this year. Hopefully next year I will be able to resume my adventures with everybody.
UPDATE:
A few new FC's, mostly DLC stuff I was playing through. I did manage one FC I had never achieved before, and one I am quite proud of:
That's right, Train Kept a Rollin'! I always had issues with this song, and yet a random playthrough was the one where it all just clicked, all these years later. In other news, I re'FC'd My God Is the Sun for a picture and added Suspicious Minds and Brown Eyed Girl to my list for the on-disc songs. Up to 43/65 now, with the easiest one I haven't picked up yet being The Feast and the Famine. Next update I should have at least that one, but I would like to have another in addition so I can round it out at a nice 45/65 and be down to the last twenty.
- Rock Band 4 Guitar FC - Train Kept A Rollin'
- Rock Band 4 Guitar FC - Blood Doll
- Rock Band 4 Guitar FC - Day Late, Dollar Short
- Rock Band 4 Guitar FC - First
- Rock Band 4 Guitar FC - Can't Feel My Face
- Rock Band 4 Guitar FC - Different Colors
- Rock Band 4 Guitar FC - Ex's & Oh's
- Rock Band 4 Guitar FC - Runnin' With the Devil

- Rock Band 4 Guitar FC - When I'm Gone
- Rock Band 4 Guitar FC - R U Mine?
- Rock Band 4 Guitar FC - Terrible Lie
- Rock Band 4 Guitar FC - Club Foot
- Rock Band 4 Guitar FC - Coffin Nails
- Rock Band 4 Guitar FC - Brown Eyed Girl
- Rock Band 4 Guitar FC - Suspicious Minds
- Rock Band 4 Guitar FC - My God Is the Sun

Thanks Cabanon! It's good to get the annual Rock Band itch again and get some FC's done

It's a great cover and a fantastic chart. I prefer the Rock Band chart to the Guitar Hero chart, but for whatever reason I always missed in a different spot on the Rock Band chart.
UPDATE:
Some new stuff today... nothing too crazy. The hardest of what I got today was probably Aqualung or Ace of Spades '08, both of which are re-FC's in Rock Band 4, as is the case with the rest of this lot. I'm trying to slough through the songs in sequential order from warmup to impossible, with the occasional diversion out of boredom. Since I rounded out my first five FC's on the imported Rock Band 1 songs, I figured I would match it up nicely and get five from Rock Band 2 and Rock Band 3 while I was at it. A handful of Legacy DLC FC's and the day was done. Not bad for an hour or so of playing after work. More to come tomorrow, as long as the business of day-to-day life doesn't get in the way. After a quick look at my Rock Band 4 DLC, it occured to me that now would be a good time to catch up on all the post-Rock Band 4 DLC before it gets out of hand. It will cost roughly $60 to finish the set, so I am going to do that this week and try to finish entering scores. Unfortunately one of the songs is from the SCRUFF promo, and the code-generating Harmonix website doesn't seem to give out valid codes. It still sends out the email with a code in it, but both codes that I tried came up as being previously redeemed through the Xbox Marketplace... So I guess I can't get that song until it becomes available for purchase later. If anyone has any insight on that, feel free to let me know.

Yyyyyyyeeeeeessssssssssssss! Random Miracle Man FC after picking up The Seeker for #44 makes for my 45th FC on Rock Band 4's on-disc catalog. This leaves only 20 songs left! Thankfully I left some easier FC's like The Feast and the Famine. In other news, I re-FC'd the Warmup tier with the paths supplemented from my path thread in Technique, Style, and Gameplay. The good thing about that thread is apparently the paths that were supplied are KICK ASS. I got a handful of 1st place scores, some of which are 1st on Xbox Live as well. That quick detour got me a ~30k shot in the arm for my career score, as well as 1st place for the tier. Good stuff all around, but I am most excited for the Miracle Man FC, as I remember my sightread being LAUGHABLY bad.
In other news, I got my first Bass DLC FC in speed fighter, which may be one of my favorite bass charts now. Good stuff

Didn't know you came back (though I barely check the RB side since I can't play right now), but it's nice to see an old face still play.

Nice job with the recent FCs, I know Cuz U R Next is pretty tough on bass so it must be a nightmare on guitar. _________________
