So, this is an idea I've been having for a meta-rivalry/leaderboard type thing.
One thing I've often admired in the SH community is the sense of disc-song completionism both by individuals and by the community as a whole. For this rivalry, participants will be put to the test, and encouraged to achieve as many FCs, Gold Stars, or whatever other accomplishment they may be shooting for, across what I like to call the "Big 1670," 1670 individual charts that will be available through solely on-disc songs (AC/DC only for Track Packs, as typically recognized by SH) and Free DLC. Here's how I got that number, if you're curious.
(not including keys)
RB Series, 7 games= 376 songs
20 Free DLC Pack= 20 Songs
6 Miscellaneous Free DLC: Still Alive, Charlene, Promised Land, Headphones On, Dreaming of Love, Am I Crazy, and RBN Megamix 01= 7 songs
=403 total songs x4 parts each= 1,612 parts
Subtract no parts: Song of the Century GBD, Good Riddance D, Imagine G= -5 parts
1612-5=1607
There will be 63 songs in Rock Band 3 with Keyboard parts-
1607+63=1670
So we would have leaderboards, standings, and mini-competitions based off of these 1670 total playable charts. We would have the obvious ones, such as most FCs, first to 1000/1670 FCs, first to 1600 FCs, most OMBFCs (403 possible), etc. But we could also work with less common goals, such as most FCs with a guitar peripheral- (all guitar, bass and keys charts included, making 866 total songs).
This is largely just theoretical discussion right now, and I would like to get a handle on who would be interested in being involved with something like this before I do too much with it. I should also note that I am not very experienced with speadsheets or forum code, so if we wanted coded leaderboards I would need someone to help me with that.

Sounds fun, but I only got RB2, ACDC, TBRB, and soon to come, RB3. (i. e., I do not have RB1 or GDRB.)
And out of the 7 Misc. Free DLC, I think there's only 1 for the Wii right now.
Ah hell, I'll do it!

You really should get RB1, I'm sure you could find it for $20 or less and you get 58 great songs, well worth it. Green Day will go down in price soon enough as well.
If we have lots of Wii players I might just eliminate the Misc Free since I know you guys are short on it.

Oh ok awesome! And ya i'm a lazy mofo  i should probably get to work on some greenday vocals lol. easy fcs. Glad to know you are counting fcs from everything, because i know i got a few of these on voxtar and i just didn't care to go and do them solo

I volunteer to be one of the hangers-on toward the bottom of the leaderboard. I don't have drums and I don't play much guitar, but I have all the songs except the RB1 non-imports (and I did get 2 of those bass FCs). Certainly is an interesting rivalry, but since I lack a drumkit, sbsolutely suck at vocals, and only can play RB1, 2, and AC/DC at home, I'll decline.

Hell no. RB1 = No GH Guitar, No Breakneck Speed, Drums are Laggy and drop notes, and the Vox engine is crap.

....That's why you FC Paranoid, Enter Sandman, and the Run to the Hills cover, than export the other 55 songs and throw the game away x_x
