Last updated: February 24th, 2011.

Hi guys, this is a list of the highest and lowest notes in RB games. Feel free to post any I've missed! Also this is all in scientific notation, where A5 is the A above tenor high C.

------------------
I'm too lazy to list contributors. :P So thanks to anyone who helps with this list!

<3 <3 <3 <3 <3
------------------

High notes (A5 and higher)

Sung notes

Black Magic - A5
"Crying in lust"

Demon Woman - A5
Three brief A5's (one of them slightly sharp) and then a sustained A5 during the outro.

Hello Goodbye - A5
Reaches A5 twice during the outro.

Painkiller - A5
Slides up to A5: "Brighter than a thousand suns"

Smokin' - A5
Fourth last phrase: "Aww get down tonight"

So What - A5
The second last phrase: "Ooh hoo"

Under Pressure - A5
Reaches A5 at the end of the final "Whyyyyy?"

Bohemian Rhapsody - B♭5
Roger Taylor hits this high note at the end of the opera section: "Beezlebub has a devil put aside for me, for me, for me"

Bathwater - B5
After the second chorus, Gwen hits B5 once - then after the final chorus, she hits it twice, and a third time briefly.

Peace of Mind - B5
The final "woo" after the first verse.

Piece of My Heart - B5
After the guitar solo, Janis sings "You know you got it!" and then screams a B5.

The Complexity of Light - B5
Several A5's appear throughout this RBN monster. But the song doesn't top out until after the tambourine section, where two B5's appear.

Love is a Battlefield - C6
This Pat Benatar classic has some beautiful, high harmonies. These appear during the third and fourth (last) chorus during the lyric: "No one can tell us we're wrong"

Rock Lobster - C6
At the end of the song, there is a diatonic, descending harmony which starts on C6.

Weight of the World - C♯6
Amy Lee hits a chain of high notes in the short bridge after the chorus, including four A♯5's, three B5's and two C♯6's. This is charted down an octave.

I Got You (I Feel Good) - E♭6
We have a new champion! Brown starts with a distorted D6, which is charted as a talkie. The first pitched note is E♭6, right before the sax solo. Then he hits another E♭6 towards the end. Finally, he hits C6 (soprano high C) which extends into the BRE, so half of the note isn't charted. All of these notes are charted down an octave.

Unvoiced or unintentional notes

Date with the Night - B5
Charted voice crack during the lyric: "Don't tell me to fix her"

Love is a Battlefield - E6
While this song has some high harmonies, it also has whistling charted as pitches. The whistle starts with a few C6's, and then climbs to E6, before returning to more C6's.

Death by Cancer - C7
This song has keyboard charted to vocals. Four C7's, along with a C6 and all sorts of other high notes.

-----------------------

Low notes (F2 and lower)

Sung notes

White Falcon Fuzz - F2
Reaches F2 several times during the verses.

March of the Pigs - F2
Reaches F2 during the line: "All the pigs are all lined up"

Rob the Prez-O-Dent - E2
In its dominant key, this song only reaches F2 during the chorus; however the beginning is transposed down a half-step, making that note an E2.

Ring of Fire - D2
Towards the middle of the song, there is a slide from D3 to D2. The song closes with another phrase reaching down to D2.

Shackler's Revenge - C♯2
The intro to this song features several E2's and a sustained C♯2.

Walk the Line - C2
Johnny Cash's deep bass-baritone brings us the lowest notes in RB. He starts with a casual F2 on the second chorus, before doing it again on the fourth chorus. Then he sings some nice low verses, reaching down to C2 on the line "Because you're mine".

Unvoiced or unintentional notes

Mud on the Tires - D2
There is a glottal onset charted on this lyric towards the end: "And then with a little luck"

I was able to hit all those notes. Yes even Weight of the World Bridge

How did you miss Peace of Mind?
There is a lot of A5s / B5s that are not mentioned. To add to the list:

Summertime Rolls: A5# in I LOVE HER near the end of the song.
Bathwater: there are three phrases that have a B5
Date with the Night: has a B5 on one of the "don't tell me to fix herrr"
Peace of Mind: yeeAHHHHHHHHH ohh Ohh OHH" the OHH is a B5

Beatles Rock Band: Hello Goodbye: There are two falsetto phrases that hit A5 near the end of the song.

Rock Band Network:
Demon Woman: There is an A5 at the end of the song.

The Complexity of Light: There are FOUR phrases that reach A5 and one phrase that reaches B5.

There are probably more, but that's all the ones i know at the top of my head.

Thanks for those zage! I added all but the RBN ones. For the RBN -- could you describe where they are in the song or maybe post a vid? We don't have RBN here in Australia, and I haven't been able to find anything on Youtube/Kawigi's site. :(

And I've hit all of the notes I originally posted too, bragger. :P

The Complexity of Light. RushJunkie3 hitting all the high notes.
Most of them are in the last 2:00 minutes of the song, but there is also an A5 after chorus 2

No one has uploaded a vocal chart yet of Demon Woman. I am on PS3 so I can't play it yet.
Here is a guitar chart of it though.

you can hear him wailing an A5 at the end.

Hm, to my ears that sounds like B5 towards the end of Complexity of Light. Plus I can't hear A♯ anywhere else in that key. Are you sure it's A♯5?

Anyone else want to comment on it?

Woops my bad it is actually a B5. I thought it was an A5#, just because I was always hitting that phrase, and I couldn't always hit that top note in Peace of Mind. My bad

How come I can easily hit the high notes on The Complexity of Light but not even close on Black Magic and Smokin'?

If you just stay in one register, or in one part of your range, your vocal folds will get lazy. Complexity of Light changes registers pretty often and forces you to be prepared.

Personally I like to sing everything in the original octave, keeps my folds nice and warmed up for those high notes. :)

I explained why -- see my post above Soulful's. :)

By the way, since Bohemian Rhapsody's going to be in RB3, Roger Taylor hits a B♭5 (A♯5) somewhere in the opera section. I'm sure you know where... :P

I saw that. I was referencing the person who told him to "do warmups" to hit the high notes.

Any chance we can get a list of the lowest notes, as a counterpoint? I'd be just as interested in that list as I am in this one. (It does interest me, I just can't really contribute, since I know nothing about music theory.)

I second this. Maybe I could even hit those low notes

Shackler's Revenge is the only song with truly insane low notes.
The intro in Shackler's is charted up an octave. Mud on the Tires is also charted up an octave.

Shackler's Revenge
C2♯ E2 E2 F2# E2 F2♯ F2♯ G2♯
I've got a fun- ny feel- ing
C2♯ E2 E2 F2♯ E2 E2 F2♯ E2
There's some- thing wrong to- day
C2♯ E2 E2 F2♯ E2 F2♯ F2♯ G2♯
I've got a fun- ny feel- ing
C2♯ E2 E2 F2♯ G2♯ G2♯ C2♯
And it won't go a- way%

Lowest note at C2#. You need to be able to sustain this note too on the "way%". This is the lowest note I can physically produce on RB, and can't hit it that often.
No song comes even close to that intro.

Mud on the Tires
D2 F3♯ E3 F3♯ F3♯ F3♯ F3♯ F3♯ A3
And then with a lit- tle luck
The word "And" has the 2nd lowest note in Rock Band, but to be fair, you really don't need to hit that note at all to combo the phrase.

Rob The Prez-o-Dent
E3 A2♯ A2♯ A2♯ B2 A2 G2 E2
I'm gon- na rob the Prez= O= Dent oh#

This song only reaches E2 twice though. after the second" I'm gon-na rob the prez-o-dent the whole song goes up a semi-tone, so you only have to go down to F2 for the rest of the song.
