Finally Harmonix releases a demo for a game (excluding RBU).
Downloading now.
EDIT: And it's not up on the British Marketplace yet. And my American account is only a silver.
Hurry on up to the UK marketplace already.
EDIT 2: Oh, ToyMachine's link works for me though. It's all good. |

Pretty nice little demo, could have used a song or two more though. Just glad the auto-calibrator is included (but no BNS).
Menus are just like Beatles, while the actual gameplay interface is like RB2's. There are some differences, the soundeffects when entering Overdrive and when your star rating go up are different, and there are new fonts, but nothing major.
And song specific animations. I noticed Billy will put two fingers on his neck pulse on the line "Check my vital signs", which was a nice touch.
Also, a friend has just told me the whole "FC the song on vocals but only get 99%" thing is still here. |

I've noticed that sustains have clearly defined endings. I'm not sure if that was in the Beatles, but it's still worth noting.
Also, drum fills are back, but at least the new fill sounds are awesome. Like the Beatles, though, there's no fill sounds at the beginning of a song. Also, the guitarist and bassist can't fail by strumming at the beginning of the song. |

Having just played vocals, I can say I really dig the vocal interface in this game. It's nice and clean, and unlike Beatles it's easy enough to see the pie behind the giant 4. >_>
Hopefully they use this engine in RB3. |

Ok guys, something seems very wrong the drums engine for this...
Welcome to Paradise was in no way hard, but for some reason I missed all those fucking rolls. It is no way me, the rolls are pretty simple, I would just miss them and I have no clue why. If this is the final version, then I guess I will have to export in order to FC anything, cause that is bullshit. _________________

Do you normally play with Hyperspeed? Maybe the lack of it is just getting to you. _________________

Welcome to Paradise was really fun on drums but the lack of hyperspeed killed it for me. It did serve as a nice preview for what to come for future entrees in the series possibly. _________________
