Never heard of them. Like what I hear, though, especially from the 2nd song. _________________

Periphery would be amazing.
Probably best new band this year. For sure. _________________

After The Burial and The Faceless are on Sumerian, and those are 2 of my favorite bands, I sure hope we get some of their music. Because they will be insanely hard to play. _________________

Dude I see stars would be insane!
I'm sooooo glad that AA gets a 3 pack. They'll be great fun to play. Hopefully we get some After the Burial too. Guitarists are gonna die if that comes out. _________________

People asking for After the Burial should look under the video of the AA stuff, for the following tibit:
Quote: | As part of the partnership, After the Burial and Veil of Maya have additionally been signed for Rock Bandâ„¢ production. These heavily requested acts are sure to provide a challenge and engage players in an experience unlike anything else. |
Looks like you're getting your wish. _________________

The bands themselves sound pretty good, so that's a plus right there. I prefer thrash metal, but judging from those preview videos Asking Alexandria is pretty damn talented.
Unfortunately, I probably won't be buying these though when they come out, for two reasons. The first is that I'm on PS3 and I personally doubt these will come over unless they're very popular. The second is that judging from the preview video of the three songs, the bass parts don't seem to be that interesting, which is a downer for me. Judging solely from the preview videos, they remind me of the bad points of This is Exile's bass chart - lots of strumming with little fret movement. Of course, I may be pleasantly surprised when the full charts come out, so I'm holding out since the bands sound good.
But as I said, the bands are very talented, and guitarists and drummers have a lot to look foward to. Heck, the vocalist will get more action here than in your typical death metal or metalcore song due to the pitched phrases, so overall these seem like good band songs if the people you're playing with are good at the game. I'm just somewhat dissapointed that the bass charts seem to be kind of ordinary. |
