First? If so, go me...
Interesting track selection, I guess. Never heard of Little Fish. Really Big Fish, and Phish of course, but not Little Fish. I certainly hope the other songs by X are better than Los Angeles, since I have distinct memories from Rocks the 80's of that being one of the dumbest songs in that game. |

WMG must be just waiting for corporalgregg to post videos, because they already blocked all of his X ones.
Seems like a pretty mediocre week with a decent free song, but I obviously haven't seen any of the X songs yet. |

You find it necessary to point out when you have a first post so excuse us in advance if we don't take any stock in what songs you do and don't find "dumb." |

I'm out.
This is the first week in the 120 or so weeks since Rock Band DLC made its debut in November 2007 that I am not buying all of the DLC. My DLC Whore status has officially ended.
I'm not complaining about anything that Harmonix releases as DLC. It's just not what I prefer overall. As an "old guy," I prefer hit songs of the 70s, 80s and some 90s. The following breakdown will show that song releses for Rock Band are skewed towards the last ten years (AKA music that I don't listen to).
60s: 24
70s: 148
80s: 193
90s: 212
00s: 516
10s: 5
I certainly understand why they would focus on newer music, so again, I'm NOT complaining about it. I'll still be buying all of the new discs, but I'm going to be VERY picky on what new DLC I buy.
I wonder what I'm going to do with all the money I'll be saving... _________________

I just did sightread vox runs of Bang Bang and Am I Crazy (having never heard the songs before).
Those two songs made the week go from "meh" to "awesome" for me. Wow.
Have to give the other Little Fish track a shot when I have time. |

i'm not speaking from experience, because I haven't played them myself, so they probably are awesome, I just haven't gotten a chance to play the _________________

I had a lot of fun with the X songs on drums. I'm surprised "I Must Not Think Bad Thoughts" wasn't in the last tier. |

Blue Spark's infectious slow groove has to make it the best song to play that isn't even remotely difficult on any instrument.
Edit: Okay, I was not expecting the Little Fish songs to be that cool. This week is now up there with Dead Kennedys/Mission of Burma, Nothing's Shocking, and Bonnaroo as one of my favorite ever. Creatively diverse and refreshing selection here. Listen to the songs or check out charts for the aforementioned bands at the very least. |

OK week I guess, always happy to pick up free stuff. Plus, the free song this week was surprisingly fun on drums _________________

Every song in the X pack is good on everything. I'm glad I bit down and bought the pack; I hadn't heard I Must Not Think Bad Thoughts, but it turned out to be a really good song musically. Second 'win' week in a row. _________________
