Drums not responding? Cracked Pads? Broken Bass Pedal? What kind of drums do I have? Adding Cymbals? Looking to buy something? Look no more. Here I have compiled all of the current drum peripheral and bass pedal fixes & Mods for the Rock Band Drum Set.

*This post is a work in progress and I will update and revise as I find the time to do so. If you think I missed anything (like better links, 3rd party specific construction, or unique mods that other people would like to attempt) let me know and I'll include them as well. (Thanks BriGuy!)

Removing Drum Pads:
Some Mods and fixes require removing the drum pads. This is relatively simple. On the QM Set, all you have to do is either pull with some brute force, or pop the rubber feet out from the bottom with a blunt object. On the EL, the Red and green pads are the same as a QM, but the Blue and Yellow require a Phillips screwdriver.

I also recommend that this thread be stickied....on two conditions:

1. You commit to maintaining the thread with updated links and ideas from wherever you find them.
2. You rename the thread to something like "Drum kit fix mod index" Drum Modding 101, or something else like that and leave all the guitar modding stuff for me to cover in this sticky thread which is unfortunately stuck on the other half of this site.
I've already included all the guitar mod links you have here but haven't been able to keep on top of all the drum mods that are out there. I've been waiting for the dust to settle on that stuff before I picked out which ones I knew worked well, but if you are willing to pick up the ball and run with this then go for it.

I will link this thread from my sticky thread and hopefully this will become sticked too and you can link to my post from here.

Good job and good luck!!

You should also link to/create a thread that explains the differences between the types of kits and how to determine which one you have.

I was sort of disappointed that my double bass mod was not put on this index. I don't know if you didn't notice it or if you just didn't think it was worthy. I hope it was that you didn't notice it.

you should add the "SL" name too. Here are some pics of the SL kit I put up. So far this kit seems to be the QM's twin brother, but it DOES bare the SL none the less and for those who have not seen pictures of both or are new to the forum and have an SL, would wonder why their set is not listed and then end up starting yet another thread of "what drum kit do I have?"

http://www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30903&highlight=official+drum+pic

BTW, if you want any other pics or info on the SL kit, just let me know. I can take it apart anytime.

Great thread hope this gets a sticky and hopefully someone comes up with a wireless drums mod soon!!!
