Well, Stray Cat Strut seems to have an... "interesting" bassline.

HMX simply could not have done a better job on the video for Let Forever Be. The ending looks absolutely amazing.

Let Forever Be and Stray Cat Strut are pretty amazing, aside from the awesome inclusion of Otis Redding of course.

(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay (Take 2)?? Come again?

Guitarists, be warned that you do not play the distinctive bluesy, jammy leads that the original version of the song is known for. It's not present or barely audible in this version, and in its place is a somewhat overpowering horns section. You only play basic rhythm guitar which isn't a whole lot of fun.

Is anyone else surprised by the ending of SCS not being a BRE? That seems like its tailor-made to be put into a BRE. (Not that 'm complaining )

I was pleasantly surprised that the ending of Stray Cat Strut wasn't a BRE, even though it sounds like it really would be. It broke my guitar FC on my sightread. >_<

Anyway, SCS has an excellent guitar chart with solos that are challenging but not impossible to FC (I got them both on sightread), and the bass chart is like Painkiller's guitar riff. I tried alt-strumming it but my arm started burning pretty quickly. If you utilize the hammer-ons, it's significantly less difficult and feels really cool when you pull it off.

I was a bit disappointed that the "meow!" wasn't in this version of the song. Would've been the best talky ever.

Also, why does Stray Cat Strut get a new genre but Otis Redding can't get a "Soul" genre?

Jazz is hardcoded into RB. Soul, like Funk, is not, which means it's unlikely that we'll see any DLC with that classification any time soon. (The Funk genre we have now is lowercase because it's not hardcoded.)

Brian Setzer is from the Stray Cats. but yes, the original is by the Stray Cats.

To one of the above posters, I too was surprised that it wasn't a BRE and I too had my SRFC on guitar broken by it. Oh well, still plenty of fun.

FUCK YEAH ALL TIME LOW!

Please excuse me while I go take Weightless off of my "songs I want on Rock Band" list.
