I am seriously awful at singing. Someone help me. I don't have any clue what an octave, pitch, vibratto, falsetto or anhything is. I see the words and I do my best to sing them in the line that comes up and it just seems more often to just get stuck (the little arrow) somewhere outside the line. No matter how loud or quiet or high or low pitched (i think its pitch) i go, sometimes the arrow just wont move.

And I can play guitar on expert and drums on hard

Someone fix my singing!

Umm.. Well.

If you haven't tried already, adjust the mic sensitivity by holding X during a song (I think it's X..) and moving the control stick left or right.

Or you could do it through options.

Are you using the mic that came with the game or the headset?

Creep was hard when I started too. I couldn't hit the low points of the song. Took me a while to figure out falsetto and octaves, but once you learn it you use it for almost every song, depending on your range.

Falsetto - A style of male singing where by partial use of the vocal chords, the voice is able to reach the pitch of a female.

Octave - Eight full tones above the key note where the scale begins and ends.

For me, going up even one octave is me singing Falsetto, since my range is very small. Singing Falsetto usually gives better control over pitch, and will allow you to hit lower notes more accurately.

I could obviously use the tip.
I think my mic may be messed up. I can just say one note and the arrow will not only waver up and down but sometimes I test trying to go low and lower and lower and then the arrow will jump to the top and just go wild. I know that it cant be me there. Sometimes it just gets stuck outside the range of a note im trying to hit.

Idk how to describe what I think it is. Umm, assuming I'm right, changing an octave would be something like singing high to get the triangle to the top, then going even higher and it will go to the bottom.

(not an experienced musician, information may be faulty)

That's pretty much right. You know how on a piano, every C key is still a C, but some are higher or lower than others? Same thing with your voice. As long as you're hitting the right note, it doesn't matter to the game which octave you're in.

It's kind of hard to explain in words...maybe I should make a video one of these days to help people out. Or somebody else could who's less lazy than me.

I think I understand it. You mean where you sing really high pitched, and the pitch triangle moves to the top, then appears down at the bottom? Yeah... I think I get it then. If so, then I'm like Qaszimon, going up one octave = Falsetto, because my range is EXTREMELY small. I sometimes have to end up singing Falsetto to hit the higher pitched notes in songs like Say it Ain't So.

Don`t worry, I suck at singing as well. I think I can only pass In Bloom ( with a 95 %) everything else I fail.
