|
|
Yesterday me and my friend went ahead and bought RB2 and a drum kit for the wii. Both brand new.
So we get to his house and put in the game.
As it's loading, just when the disc channel is supposed to change pics to say rb2 or whatever, the screen goes black and shows :
(Thats not our picture , i'm piggy-backing).
Has anyone any idea what the hell is wrong with it? We've tried everything.
Wii system is on 4.2E (Thats Europe-Republic Of Ireland to be extremely precise) |

This looks like it has less to do with RB2 and more to do with the Wii console itself, has he had problems with any other games? |

Only with that House of the Dead 2&3 game.
Everything else runs perfectly fine. |

You put the disc in backwards. I get that screen when I do that anyway. _________________

Wait, so you're getting that error with other discs too? Right, then it's not an RB2 problem. It's a problem with the Wii itself. I'd recommend contacting Nintendo Support about it. _________________

Im going to guess that it's because you're Wii's laser isn't very well focused and it can't play dual-layered games. Very few Wii games are dual-layered, but I know the music-based ones are because they need the storage for songs and I'm guessing that your house of the dead one is too since you said it's a double pack and that would make sense. If you have Brawl, try playing that, it's also dual-layered. |

Unless you have buttons awkwardly placed on the bottom, label should go down.
I would know. |

If you have your Wii set horizontally with the buttons on top, your Wii is upside down, sir.

rb2 isn't dual layer.
Just contact Nintendo and explain the problem. |

Yeah, so it's pretty much done now, i returned RB2 and my mate got RB1.
He loaded RB1, got just past the developers screen, and then when it's loading the main menu, he smacked in the face with a black screen.
''ERROR''
Oh well !! Guess we're back to the drawing board......Back to PORTAL i go!!!! |

A couple things:
You could try something that will clean the laser lens. I've found a couple web sites that suggest using a can of compressed air to blow the dust out of the system, but I think it would be better to find a CD/DVD laser lens cleaner (shouldn't be more than a couple bucks...or pounds, yen, four-leaf clovers, whatever you have over there), because compressed air blown in the disc slot could damage your system.
Lastly, according to the Nintendo Wii support web site, if you get this error, you have to send your system to Nintendo for repair. That sucks. Anyway, good luck with your system. |

You're getting to the same problem I have, and PieGuy I assume. Your Wii is dying and you have 2 options, 1) Send it in, 2) Just deal with it and try again and again.
To test this, try putting in a game. When it has an error, restart the Wii, and check the screen BEFORE it gets on. If it has a weird flash, you're having my problem and you need to fix it via Nintendo or deal with it. I'm almost positive this is a Wii problem. |
