New Fang is also playable in Lego:RB, which makes just 2 new songs for that game this week.

Edit: Durr, I didn't see that JCirri's post already included that... I was looking for the + next to it.

Videos, all courtest of corporalgregg and crew:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x45mA0bB5lI - Walk Like an Egyptian
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2YDvoeDCaN0 - New Fang
Both full band.

AFI pack:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fIhIV30EFE - Beautiful Thieves
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vrodMos3sK0 - The Leaving Song Part 2
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=olS9FgeZs58 - Love Like Winter
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEGYRh2s1rI - End Transmission
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNnzkbOImEM - Medicate
All minus vocals.

That said, only picked up Medicate this time around. I was thinking of getting something else, but am afraid Harmonix could announce Pantera any second.

Alive, I.V., Jeremy, Guerilla Radio, I know there was one in Desperate Times Desperate Measures, and one more I can't remember off the top of my head.

I know Jeremy had a ton of three note chords. No idea about any others.

Let's not forget Queens of the Stone Age. In fact the first time I heard the song I thought it was QotSA.

Them Crooked Vultures sounds more like QotSA more than anything, and I'm not just basing that on Josh Homme's vocals. It's just like that. The Zep influences does seem to come through on songs like Scumbag Blues (Which is my favourite song on the album), but considering that Dave Grohl has pretty much worked with every artist ever, I suppose its hard to see if there is much in the way of Nirvana/Foos in there.

Excellent song, though. Also, Walk like an Egyptian is my favourite song of the week. Totally surprised me watching the video, it actually looks really fun on all instruments. So does New Fang, but...

Ah, I can't decide.

new fang kind of put me over the edge in a little charting matter that's been bugging me for quite some time.

Harmonix switches snare over to yellow for discobeats, right?

Why can't they do that for some tom fills?

I'd say most drummers have a tom either in front of or to the left of their snare, or at least positioned some way that they can easily hit it with their left hand without having to cross over, yet harmonix never charts stuff this way.

It started with little stuff. Like the rolls in Sorrow that go like RRRRRRRYBB, or the annoying RYBO fills. Both those should be standard RLRL sticking, but aren't because of the way the RB kit is set up and how harmonix charts them.

I can live with it in those small doses, but the outro of New Fang on drums pissed me off.

the entire thing is

with constant bass under it, repeating for pretty much the entire outro. it SHOULD realistically be just RLRL sticking, but I ended up nearly failing it on SR because you need bizarro sticking to make it work.

sorry, rant over...

week is pretty cool. AFI is generally pretty fun, and Walk Like an Egyption is my favorite song this week.
