OK, here's the deal: I've never been good with the up and down trills. I've tried to save up overdrive till I get to solo H and use it a quarter of the way through. Now the first time I made it past H I felt relieved, up until I saw the next set of trills and quickly failed.
So my question is: what is the best way to conquer those fast trills?

The zigzags? If you just want to pass them, just play either the ascending or descending triplets and ignore the 4th note. If probably wouldn't hurt to save Overdrive, too. |

I'll try that approach next time. I hope to get this song finished soon. |

Well, I can pass H and I thanks to you, I can barely get by J, but K is where I'm stumbling now. 3x times as fast and I die as soon as I hit it. Any suggestions aside from save overdrive, because my overdrive is gone by this point. |

Is that the part with the fast triplets? If you fail miserably when trying to mostly ho/po, then try strumming steadily (in attempt to strum every note) while you fret them. |

For me, my fingers seem to be more precise and faster when I don't have to worry about strumming. I'd suggest learning the best you can to HO/PO the solos. Strumming throws me off rhythm on solos, but thats just me. I have to do HO/PO, these days. |

I don't see how that's easier than:
1 2 3 2 1 2 3
But hey, whatever works for you!
Another tip is to find a strumming point so it makes sense rhythmically. For example, on the zig zags in question, I strum every . |

Here's how I do it:
4 3 2
First, if you're not doing so already, pull off. Don't try to hammer on descending notes.
Concentrate on timing every orange and yellow. Your ring finger will naturally pull off the blue a split second after your pinky pulls off orange. |

that's how I beat it, using that way its either all or nothing, I get damn near 100% on a section, or my timing is off and I get nowhere. But I have NEVER failed the end section of triplets using that weird method... I'm sorry the file is big, but hopefully that helps _________________

At 1st I was tapping this part . BUT I came to realize that it only complicated things .
So now what I do and I can FC the whole solo H and I with little effort .
I hold the green down with Finger 1 , and just act as if the Red and Yellow are its own trill .
By holding down the Green it plays itself and all you have to worrie about is the Red and Yellow . Works like a champ for me . I finally 5*ed it yesterday . |

I didn't follow that at all. Are you trying to say you do this?

Last night I was playing GG&HT and had an amazing run going, but then failed on the last solo bit. So I went to practice mode to...practice...and i decided to use the solo buttons on my Strat for the end triplets. Much to my amazement they work great on this part. I actually tap with the solo buttons with my fret hand tapping Y and my strumming hand tapping B and O. If you have a strat I would suggest doing it this way. _________________
