Seriously, this is stupid.
My drums seem to work just fine...except I'm breaking combo every 5 notes or so.
I just got 99% on Say it Ain't So on MEDIUM, and got 3 stars.
I know I'm hitting the notes fine, its an EASY song, and considering I just beat DFTR on Hard for the time, I know its not my skill.
But it's not like its not registering, its like its double hitting. Am I causing a double hit with my grip or something? |

Well theres always the chance your letting the sticks bounce and register another hit.
But to consistently do that takes skill or a broken kit.
I think you may want to look into that.
Like how I kept magically breaking combo on Medium Enter Sandmans batch of yellows.
Y...Y...Y break combo..Y....Y...Y broken combo.
But not always, which is what killed me.
I began thinking i was hitting it too lightly.
I just got a new kit and so far so good. |

The thing is this is a latest gen kit. Got the game last week and made sure it was a new batch from Best Buy. |

If you brerak your combo your average multiplier will go down, ergo getting you less points, making the or cutoff harder to reach. The same is true in the Guitar Hero games, where you can get gold stars as a set of 3 or four by 100%-ing a song with overstrums.
Keep your combo + 99% = or gold stars _________________

It could be your drums. I've noticed that the red pad on mine is reaaally sensitive, and I have to be very careful not to let the sticks bounce a little and register an extra hit.
Other than that, I have no idea. _________________

Are you actually making mistakes? Are you sure?
I've found that often I'll be missing notes and uncertain why, and then go "oh, silly me, I'm not hitting the bass pedal" or something like that. Or my timing will be off with one hit or whatever. See if you can find someone else to play it and see if they do alright so you know if it's the drums or the player. It's hopefully easier to fix the player. ;) |

I dont believe that all models are the same.
Ive had 3 diff strats, all same exact model # on the guitar, 3 totally diff reacting strumbars and tilt activators. |

I used to have all my drums taped just because I thought I needed it, but I began getting worse. I began doing a little experimentation and learned that my pad were TOO sensitive. Whenever I would hit relatively close to the edge of a pad, it would register the one next to it. See if this is tripping you up. |

If he's getting 99% his hits are registering.
I would suspect that the pads are making double hits, or else your hitting extra pads or bass pedals when your not supposed to. |

Make sure you're holding your drumsticks tightly. That used to happen to me all the time _________________
