Bret McKenzie, one half of the New Zealand act alongside Jemaine Clement, told TV Guide in a video interview at the Emmy Awards in Los Angeles that three of the duo's songs would appear in the game in the future.

"There's going to be three songs on 'Rock Band'," he said. "I'm serious. You'll be able to look like The Beatles and play one of our songs." The pair did not reveal which of their songs would be chosen to appear in the game.
A new Flight Of The Conchords album, "I Told You I Was Freaky", is set for release on October 26. They are also expected to head to the UK for live shows next year.

No one seems to be picking up on one part of what he said...

He seems to think that their songs will be in The Beatles game, not the regular RB platform. I sure hope it is just a simple mistake of not knowing regular DLC doesn't work on The Beatles, and not them just not knowing what they are talking about.

Probably just doesn't know what he's talking about. It's not like they're likely involved at all, Sub Pop just said hey you're gonna be in rockband, and they just guessed at it. |

^ I think it's because they were talking about Beatles RB at the time, so it was probably just an off the cuff thing to say - kinda like a joke, ya know?
(That... and probably because they don't know what they're talking about. :P)

Well, aren't they part of SubPop anyway, who basically opened up their entire catalog to RBN? I don't see why it would be fake.
