Woot Talking Heads! Granted, I have to wait a week, but still!
Bat Country amazes me; I've seen it in so many wishlists, that HMX put it up is insane. Did they do it for GH5? Idk. It's still awesome.
A good week for the Wii, I'll be checking out some of the Priest songs for sure. And also, this means we're 4 songs away (excluding the covers, which I don't think they'll ever put up) from DLC equality! _________________

Bat Country seems to be the only good song here..... _________________

Guerilla Radio and Bat Country's guitar charts make me sad.
The former for massive undercharting, the latter for the overly-complicated and inaccurate picking in the solo (and the leads AFTER the solo not being charted in favor of just repeating the chorus riff again)
At least they'll be enjoyable on vocals. _________________

The genius of Rock Band DLC is evident when you realize that MY first thought was "Bat Country seems to be the only crappy song here!" I'm choppin' at the bit for the Talking Heads pack to finishing downloading. |

I'm wishing I could download and play DLC so badly right now... just for Once in a Lifetime. Gonna have to take a look at the rest of the pack, too, as well as the RatM song.
EDIT: This post was lacking in smileys. That needed to be fixed. |

Judging by some previews, the Rage song is pathetically charted. I know the song is simple, but at least put chords when they belong, not single notes
ALso, the bat country solo part is somewhat accurately charted. Syn picks that part when he plays it, so there should be picking in it. It SHOULD be groups of 4s (GRYB, OBYR) but having a limited neck of the guitar, you can't really change the chart when the song is changing. (plus 4 note strums that fast for that long would make people really cranky)
But the strums are legit. |

I hate the way the solo is charted in Bat Country, but the drum chart is fucking win. _________________

Yeah, it's charted well and I think it looks funner like that. I can't wait to download it, but for now I'm too busy. Overall, this is a great week though.
And Strikebowler already has an FC of Bat Country. _________________

Talking Heads are a major disappointment on drums:
Take Me to the River, And She Was and Crosseyed and Painless are all just really basic beats with practically no fills thrown in (and I was used to the live version of CaP, so I was expecting some awesome stuff)
Girlfriend is Better and Once in a Lifetime both have pretty interesting patterns, but they both repeat for the ENTIRE song with no real variation.
The Talking Heads are one of my favorite bands, but this was one of the worst sets of songs on drums ever - Stop Making Sense versions would have been a lot better
Guerilla Radio is pretty fun on drums - the RYs thrown into the rolls threw me off the first time through. _________________

With Talking Heads, Girlfriend is Better has an AWESOME music video venue. It like, really fits and the camera and style look really nice and fitting. (And it comes with slapping bass!)
And while you guys are so happy over A7X and Guerrilla Radio, give The Jam some love. Going Underground is so much win. _________________
