TIGRYT has five solos and is tied for the record with TKAR.

Stonehenge sounds like an awesome Full Band song. There is a long streak of BO chords that appear to break 14nps and might put a Spinal Tap song on the unFCed list.

All the songs I bought sound aweomse on drums, so this should be good week for drummers.

Yeah, I wouldn't play those too often if I were you.

Stonehenge is the most epic Rock Band song ever. Yeah, I said it. Cups And Cakes is a hilarious way to end the setlist, though.

(And, as other people have noted, this is the full album of This Is Spinal Tap, just re-recorded.)

Why is this thread titled "8/4 ALBUM DLC?" This is not an album release. There are still 5 songs from the album not in the game, and if I go to the "Albums" section on the Rock Band Store, nothing from Spinal Tap is there. If this is counted as an album, then so should Nevermind or Boston (but none of them should be).

I'm not sure if I'll get this. I thought the movie was rather overrated, and the only song I actually want is "Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You Tonight." I hate buying single songs when they're available in packs tho. If they made a giant pack combining this pack and the last (and adding the 5 missing songs), I'd be a lot more compelled to buy this.

So you want the three purposely bad jazz instrumentals, the a cappella song, and the song that is likely nearly impossible to get due to having numerous guests? This is as close to the full album as we can get and honestly, Short and Sweet is the only one of the five tracks that will be missed.

I just played through the full semi-album on drums and had a blast. However, the four tracks I played on guitar afterward (TIGRYT, Rock 'n' Roll Creation, Hell Hole, and Stonehenge) were absolutely amazing and blew the drums out of the water. I fully plan to bust these songs out at parties all the time.

I'm pretty sure this thread's title just comes from the official announcement thread: http://www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?t=154909

It was announced as "Back From the Dead", even though it only contains the remasters of the original songs and doesn't officially count as an album.

Anyway, I haven't seen many charts yet, but what I have seen looks reasonably fun. No must-buys chart wise, but a lot that look worth getting for me when I take into account the humor of the songs too.

lol@Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You Tonight...aside from the title, it has 5 guitar solos and a BRE in a 2:40 song?

I might pick it up :P

These songs were better than I was expecting. Pretty much all of them were pretty fun or amusing on guitar and drums for me.

Even if I wasn't a DLC whore, I would buy all of this, as I think it's some of the best DLC we've ever been given.

By the way, for those who haven't seen the movie and are lazy, check out this video. It's only 9.5 minutes long and will give you a good idea of how epic the movie is. It includes such scenes as the origin of the 11 joke, Nigel's hilarious guitar solo, and the classic tiny Stonehenge part.

The re-records were great, but not as good as the originals (like some of the deeper background singing is turned to higher shreaks, etc.). Still epic though.

Anyone think it's possible to maybe get some of the originals?

WHOA... I was checking out Stonehenge guitar video... and my god, it has a very fast stumming section...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mfCioBZBpoY - About 2:30 in...

It looks like it is a solid line of notes... can anyone tell me how fast it is?

the only major problem I had with the rerecords was the mixing on Big Bottom, which puts synth and a new (I think) lead bassline much higher than the fantastic original bassline (which is still fully intact, just less audible)

But this dlc is loads of fun.

the mandolin solo in Stonehenge, the opening drum solo of big bottom, the classical riff at the end of heavy duty, it's all fantastic.

Wow, theyve got TIGRYT on here? Such an amazing song.....

And the Stonehenge strumming I believe has already been FC'd by someone too

Yeah, the Stonehenge strumming isn't too fast or too long, but there are threads about it already. Though I guess it's not wrong to discuss it here, there are better places.

Got my 360 back yesterday from RROD repair. I only downloaded TIGRYT and Stonehenge, but I've gotta say, playing Stonehenge on guitar with my girlfriend on vocals was some of the most fun I've had playing Rock Band in quite a while. The intro's hilarious and the solo is SO FUN.
